Another new Superformance installer
Hi all
I have just become one of the newest installers for Superformance dealer, Dynamic Motorsports. An opportunity that I am really excited about!
My background is that I am a life long car/truck and motorcycle enthusiast. I worked for Ford Motor Company in Powertrain Engineering for 32 years and then retired 2 years ago. Throughout my life I have worked on, raced and displayed cars as well as motorcycles. 3 or 4 years ago, I became aware of the Cobra replica world and fell in love with the idea of owning a legendary car like the Cobra, only rather than very expensive original show car, a modern day version that was not just a shine and show car, but something that could be driven and really enjoyed.
In my search for the right car for me, I chose the Superformance and I wanted to do my own powertrain install as my first retirement project. It was a great experience, but unfortunately the project went too fast. I considered selling the car just so I could buy another and do it all again, but alas, a good friend saved me. He was so impressed with my car that he wanted to do the same, but not retired didn’t have the time, tools or facilities…. And alas.. my second SPF install.
Since that time I have stayed as involved with SPF’s as possible, working on my own car and helping others on theirs. Though my experiences, it has occurred to me there may be a niche I could fill in this install world. A business with a personal touch. I don’t intend to be high volume. I’m a one man operation working out of my home garage. What I hope I can offer is an opportunity for a new owner to be as involved in this process as they wish. From helping on the actual install to just watching and swapping car stories or if preferred, just wait till everything is done.
To this end, I have been identified by Dynamic Motorsports as one of there installers and am really looking forward to an exciting time working on these beautiful cars.
I live in Canton Michigan and would be excited to hear from anyone who might see and opportunity to work with me…

Geez, so many choices now. Craig, I guess I am going to have to ask you the same question as I asked Woodz yesterday. Can you install a motor in my new CAV Shelby car?

I need to add a clarifying point to my original post...
I stated incorrectly "identified by Dynamic Motorsports as one of their installers". I am on their list of engine installers, but I am not employed by or contracted by Dynamic Motorsports or Superformance as the wording may have implied. I am an "Independent" installer.

That's the spirit. Best wishes on your new endeavor. Same to Woodz. Glad you guys are learning to market beyond just SPF . Flyin' Freddie, hope I did not upset you, someone's gotta give the SPF crowd some barbs .
TC,
SPF owner once, Kirkham owner, picked up on side of road by an FFR at Spring Fling after my gas tank had no reserve (definitely best ride I ever got!!!), got demo ride in a Unique, heck, they're all good.

Thanks Eric, TC, Steve, Terry, Bill, Woodz…et ALL
Like I’m sure it is for all of you, this has become a passion for me. I feel really fortunate that I have been able to retire from what I thought was really work and now can occupy my time with the really fun stuff…. This is like in grade school, going out for recess and not coming back!
