Evan:
You've taken enough beatings around here that you deserve to be able to give some back without having people form an "Evan Lynching Party". In my book, there's no need to apologize.
In fact, I think it's a shame for you to say you won't participate in these type of forums. You and I still may disagree on the semantics of the words "real" and "original", but nobody flies the CS flag better than you, and SAI needs some customers defending their honor on occassion.
Some of these guys don't want CSX owners flaunting their "real" status (which I think that many people wrongly accuse you of), but at the same time, you shouldn't have to hang your head because you own one, either.
Best Regards and Happy Holidays to all!
Russ

Thank you Evan. You're a REAL swell guy, now. Apology accepted here.
Evan, don't loose any sleep over all these mushy comments.

I just threw up all over my desk. It could be the flew, or it could be this thread. I'll sort of miss Evan's posts if he stops "Evanspeak". Evan, please reconsider your position.
I flat out firmly believe the new CSX is a real Cobra , but there are those out there that need educating, and it would be unfair to them to deny them the education that only you can give them.

To all above. You're welcome. Merry Xmas/Chanakah etc...Ho, Ho, Ho. My xmas gift to CC. Who said there is no Xmas spirit?
Johan: No. I don't think I'll reconsider. Thanks anyway. This is the first time I have actually gotten more than two posts in a row without some explicative directed at me and guys actually being nice to me. A guy could get used to this.
Heck, I figure if I keep my mouth shut on the subject at least until next June I may not have to wear that new bullet proof vest for the next DVSF I bought for last year but didn't get to use.
Russ: I appreciate your comments very much. Thank you. I can't seem to state what I state factually without tweeking noses. So in the interest of peace I'll stop.
You realize of course there will much less excitment around here.

Evan - keep this up and you will have to remember just how SMALL a distance it really is from Columbus to Joisey. And I have to fly via Newark anyway, so it would be NO TROUBLE AT ALL to drop by your 'hood and pass on the boys' regards. And if you keep to this spirit, I will leave it to you to work out how those regards may be delivered (I feel icky already). Blue ice anyone?
Wilf, your english friend.

Evan,
I know what you mean... I figure at one of these get-togethers I'm gonna have to pay for all these "smart ass" comments I make all the time..... The past two Flings I've registered as Mother Teresa and things have gone smoothly...They're not convinced I'm really her but they've been giving me the benefit of the doubt. Not sure whether or not I'm going to use my real name at this years event but I still have time to make a decision...
and, Happy Xnakah to you..
and Happy Chanakah to your family....

Thumbs up to Evan! You've taken a lot more cr@p than you've dished out. Not many folks would have the tenacity to defend their beliefs like the "E man", or the backbone to offer the olive branch when they may have stepped on a few toes.
I am kinda P.O.'ed at Brent for closing the thread after I read all the posts and was just fixin' to ad my $.02!

Evan:
A lot of folks "take" just as much as they "dish out". I've always thought that you do BOTH equally well. ......And, I've always looked forward to your "responses". I, for one, don't think you have anything to apologize for. Sometimes debates / discussions get "heated" but that's part of being in a forum. People can learn a lot from those debates.
If you don't continue to be a part of that, I'm sure you and your ideals will be missed (even if some won't admit it). I know I would be REAL upset if you stopped posting!
Hope you and your family have a safe, and happy Holiday Season. Hope to meet you at DVSF IV!
Terry

Apology accepted this time!
Oh wait -- I don't even have a Cobra that isn't real or unreal that would offend me.
Never mind. No need to apologise to me.
Have a great Christmas/Holiday (whichever the case may be) with all your family, friends and the clubcobra family, as dsyfunctional as it may be at times!

Evan and all...talking about these cars is passionate, no matter what brand. Seldom will anyone offer up their preference for a brand other than the one they own or have owned. The nice thing about these pc gizzmos is you can always skip a post if you already know what the person is going to say, or use the delete key. So, no big deal. Evan has always shown tenacity and perserverance, with anticipated responses. No big deal to me. We all have our opinions, like em or not. So, have a great holiday. I remember once before when Evan disappeared on the keyboard and like Arnold the new Calif Governor, I can hear him also say : I VILL BE BOCK ! peace, love and harmony, REALly. Bill.

GOOD GAWD - - - - -
EVAN - - YOU JUST CAN'T WIN.
WHATEVER POSITION YOU TAKE YOU'LL ALWAYS HAVE FORTY, OR SO, PEOPLE DISAGREEING WITH YOU.
IF YOU SAY YOU'RE RIGHT - - THEY'LL JUMP IN AND SAY YOU'RE WRONG. EVEN IF YOU SAY YOU'RE WRONG - THEY'LL JUMP IN AND INSIST THAT YOU'RE RIGHT.
EVEN TRYING TO BE NICE GENERATES TWO PAGES OF POSTS.
BRENT: MAYBE YOU SHOULD CLOSE DOWN THIS THREAD TOO - BEFORE IT GETS COMPLETELY OUT OF HAND.
GLAD TO SEE YOU'RE PLANNING ON COMING TO DVSF-4. IF WE CAN GET YOU AND BRENT MILLS THERE AT THE SAME TIME JAY AND BOB AND I WILL HAVE TO BRING THE RAKI IN BY THE BARREL.
I MEAN - - - PEOPLE EXPECT JAY AND I TO DRINK ANYTHING (ANYTHING FROM BUD LITE TO RAKI TO TEQUILA OR CAM-2) BUT YOU AND BRENT WERE REAL CHAMPS - IN YOUR RESPECTIVE YEARS. ((WEIRDEST DAMN THING I'VE EVER SEEN)).
LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING ALL OF YOU IN JUNE.
Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY.
BLACKJACK

I must have missed something here but I will always accept a real apology.
I don't think I have been offended anytime on this site - it is only a place for opinions and we all have them - even the a$$holes
but who cares it makes great reading.
Happy Holidays to ALL
Randy

Evan, I was never offended, I just thought you were a jerk. No apology needed here. It is comforting that you can come on here and ALMOST admit you were maybe a little at fault by the way you posted. Have a nice holiday
