Regarding New Shelby Dealer In Cincinnati, Ohio....
Loaded up the wife and son the other day, and drove up to Ross, Ohio. It really is cow and cornfield country. As all the local car dealers seem to congregate on Route 128, it was pretty easy finding the new Shelby dealership.
Unfortunately, we got there too late. The place was closed. It looks like a decent facility, though. There is a small showroom. Saw Shelby Cobra emblems on the windows. There was ALSO a beautiful blue Shelby Cobra on display. Could not tell if it was aluminum or glass-bodied, as it was painted. And the place was closed, dammit !!!!!
I intend on returning to see this Shelby up close. Only this time I will call first. So, that's it. Looks like they really are selling Shelby Cobras in cow country. Watch out for that antique mall down the street. Caught my wife's eye, and lightened my wallet in the process.

Shelby & Ross
Bullitt:
When you go back to Ross, make sure you stop in and see Dean & Ron Rosen at Dynamic MotorSports. Dynamic is the Midwest's Superformance dealer and the Shelby dealer (Eric at PE) sits in their back lot. Even if you're not interested in an SPF, it gives you a chance to compare the Shelby with another popular brand and you can meet the Rosens (great folks).
Whether you buy a Shelby from Eric or an SPF from the Rosens, you can't go wrong.

Bullitt2002 ~ I 2nd what StephenC said....they are both great people to deal with. I purchased my car from Dean and my engine was built by Eric H. They both did a wonderful job and I ended up with an awesome car.

guys, with all due respect here. Eric H is well known for building great engines. The fact that he is a newly appointed Shelby dealer has been well publicized here. The fact that they are about 100 yards from Dynamic, SPF dealer, is also a known fact. And, I wish Eric well in his new endeavor and continued success with his engine business.
However, it seems some people think many of us have fallen off the turnup truck.
Bullit 2002 in earlier posts said he owned a 2002 bullit mustang. when someone else said they were only made in 2001 , he then changed his tune to 2001 bullit owner but kept his 2002 bullit tag line name. wonder what year his alleged 68 mustang shelby is, a 1982 maybe ? hmmmm
Bullitt whatever year proclaims he is from sw ohio and drives to Peformance Engineering to see the new Shelby and OH MY, it is cow and cornfield land ! heckers, it was corn and cow country when i went to school at Miami Univ-0hio in nearby Oxford Oh 35 yrs ago. If he is from sw ohio, this is no revelation. 20-35 mi radius from Ross AND cinci and ANYWHERE in sw ohio is the same . duh !
My guess he is a planted respondent here, failing to mention that he had to drive by Dynamic to get to PE. wonder what brand replica is he saw on the showroom floor, doubt it is a new SA-CAV CSX as those folks who ordered them are still trying to find out when they are going to get one. If he has one, someone might as well go buy it and save them the waiting time.
Now, in all due respect to SAI, I spent 30 yrs in the auto industry, many in production/scheduling/distribution/ allocations and start ups of any new products NEVER were on time and always had hiccups. I suspect that is the case here too, time will tell how delayed they really are . I wish them the best as competition improves the breed for EVERYONE.
However, on other threads recently Bobby, aka MACHINEMAN also expressed surprise over a new Shelby dealer in Ross. and Eric H from PE , the new dealer, responded. Truth be known, dollars to donuts I bet, that Bobby and Eric know each other quite well. In fact, I would not be surprised if Bobby was not an employee of Erics' and they could have just yelled the 100 feet across the shop floor to each other vs sending emails like they did not know each other : "hey Eric, you are the new dealer, eh?
..."yo, Bobby, yep i am..why dont you post something on cc and ask me there, so i can respond" ..LOL..bet I am right on that one.
which makes me wonder, Bullitt, are you an employee at PE too ? or a relative of their employees ? or friend ?
yep, that part of Ohio is cow and cornfields, has been and will be.
and Bullits were built in 2001. I am getting out my popcorn, as this could be a long show. bill

hmmm. interesting. seems like a dealer more interested in spreading mis-information than being on the up and up. boy, not a good sign to trust someone with 50-70 grand of your hard earned buck with!
sorry but if it moos like a cow and stinks like a cow, then it must be cow poo we're standing in.

Good job sniffing out the fakey-do Bill. I thought it kinda sounded like an advertisement as I was reading the post.
In my opinion, it just does'nt seem right to use a medium such as CC when just a short while ago they were fighting so hard to shut the industry down.

Guys, I was suprised to see the post from Bullitt 2002 also. People who know me know that the shop is allways open past my posted hours. The only day last week we closed close to on time was Saturday. Heck, I just got home now and it is 1:55 am here. I can assure you I do not know Bullitt, and he does not work for me. It does look bad,but so does Mechanic and his posts. It is clear to me that this person is from Dynamic Motorsports, and is just waiting to slam me and my company. So I am sorry for any post that looked like an advertisment. I enjoy helping when I can on CC and I enjoy reading most all the posts. Happy Hollidays.

Eric,
You don't know me, but if you won't take it wrong may I be so bold as to give some advice?
I realize you are a new dealer but your reputation as an engine builder is impeccable.
If you would maybe make a minimum of investment and become an advertiser on Club Cobra like others, you won't find yourself apologizing for an"advertisement".
Folks will still frown on underhanded self promotion, but nothing will stop you from putting in a plug for your business like may do.
Like I said, take it as an unsolicited advice from a friend of a friend.
Best wishes to you and to your business.

Turk, Thanks. I contacted Brent weeks ago and was pleased to find a E-mail this morning about us advertising in ClubCobra. He said he would call about some questions I had. Now we can get rolling with our advertising. Thanks

So you are also saying you have _no_idea_ who "bobby" the "machinemam" is either... that inquisitive fellow asking all sorts of questions about your business. And you are saying he is _not_ in fact actually your machinist that works in your shop
It still smells like a barn in here and a whole lotta mooing going on (like that jerry-lee-lewis song)

Common mistake made by newbies is to think a forum is somewhere where you can pretend to be someone you are not. They do it, you do it.
Sounds like there is nothing that couldn't be resolved by walking over a few yards and talking face to face.
mechanic,
I read all three posts by you. Are you sure you are not doing the same thing you are accusing others of?

I'm heading south today for the Holidays (meeting the inlaws in Florida........yikes.) We go right past Ross on the way to their place, and we always stop in @ Dynamic to say HI to Dean and see what they've got in the warehouse. I've stopped and talked to Eric a few times as well. BOTH guys are great to deal with, and I wish them ALL the best of luck.
Actually, Eric may have SPF's on his showroom floor.....I know he has a couple for sale! .....Probably not the best way to advertise for his Shelby's though.....Now that I think of it, he may have them hidden in the back!
Happy Holidays To ALL !!!!!!!!! Terry

Hey, I too have questions but I am not Shelby's keeper.
Many before you have asked the same questions, and some have been answered,
All I wanted to bring out in the open is, questions are more valid and worthy of answers from those in the know if they are asked by folks who have something at stake, not someone with a hidden agenda and a hidden identity.
If I was one of those folks who gave deposits with a November delivery date, I would be asking questions too. They have, and Brent Fenimore has answered them to THEIR satisfaction. Not to yours or mine. That is what matters, doesn't it?
Happy Holidays.
