Prayers for a forum sponsor (Rich's Classic Transport)....
I just received a note from Richard Lacy of "Rich's Classic Transport". I have contracted with Rich (in part due to the glowing reviews provided by many here) to haul SPF #747 to California later this week.
Last Saturday, he was in the process of hauling a couple other cars in his own trailer and a "disturbed" guy crossed the centerline and took out his rig. Rich miraculously walked away from this incident with glass cuts and a sore body. His extended cab dually was totally destroyed and the trailer suffered some heavy facial and suspension damage (from the photos he sent me).
As a testimonial to Rich's driving and long hauling skills, both cars that he was hauling were still cinched down tight and did not move. And the entire rig stayed upright as he bounded off the highway and into a shallow ditch!
This guy is a gamer. He's in the process of getting his other tow vehicle out of the shop, and he may still attempt to make his deliveries later this week. My Cobra is high and dry in another trailer, a brand new 40 footer destined for another customer in CA.
I openly wish Rich a speedy recovery! I'd rather have him well and my Cobra delivery delayed...another week is not going to saddle me. All the best, Rich!

Glad to hear that Rich made out with just minor injuries, he delivered my car April 02, and I have had the pleasure to speak with him several times since, he definately knows how to secure a car with no damage to it, hope you get back on the road soon Rich, I know you really enjoy your job
Mike

Rich has hauled for us too! Never a complaint, never a scratch and always on time. I don't mind telling you, you scared the bee-dickens out of me with this post!
Rich, get well fella...we all need you around for awhile longer!

Rich is a really nice guy. He has hauled several cars for us in the past and has always been on time...even when we weren't. I sure hope he is ok and he gets back on the road again.

I Talked with Rich on Sunday and of course he was still hurting from this accident....I really count on him to help with our deliveries and pickups of motors....I know how bad he feels right now and I'm very happy he told me he would be back on the road ASAP.....any good words/wishes via emails to him would be appreciated I'm sure....
this is his email address if you don't happen to have it.
