Hal's SPF's cockpit mods
never could leave well enough alone. Here is what i have added or changed on my four year old SPF's cockpit.
Right side, under dash, VDO dampened fuel pressure gage, in cup. Next to that, under dash, accessory outlet. On tunnel in front of hand brake, fold-up Diet Coke holder. Under dash, center, MSD shift lite. To left of that under dash, red panel with lit Accusump switch, with another warning light replacing the loud buzzer for low brake fluid. On top of cowl, convex racing mirror, can see out the back window now, and without taking eyes off road, can see to the front of the right side rollbar, very wide view to side without having to turn my head. Fire toggle pull just behind the shortened shifter lever, with SS shifter ball. Replaced the pump button for the windscreen washer with lift-up red aircraft safety cover for toggle for starter. SS hose on tunnel, with the valve on tranny tunnel, aimed to driver, allowes me to send the trunk halon to either engine, me, or both. Another aircraft switch. On top of tunnel, under dash, nifty wooden parcel tray. ON top of dash, 20 psi low oil pressuer warning light, just to left of mirror pedestal.
This pic posting thing really is neat!!! more to come!!!
