You can only attach ONE image to a post.

But, if you upload the pics to your Gallery, you can link (embed) as many pics in a single post as you like, using the IMG tags

The pic in question ended up being larger than Tim thought.

..plus the canvas size is 1345 x 695...WAY too big for displaying in a post..
Resize it down to 800x600

Another question for Ron or Brent, I am trying to upload some pics that I have scanned and are in my pc now.
But when I try it doesnt happen, just comes up with a message saying it has taken too long (60 seconds) and timed out?

Is that due to a slow internet connection?

I have had this happen before with other pics but I keep trying and it eventually works, but hasnt yet

Yes, probably because of the connection. How large of a file are we talking about?

If the file size is found by clicking on properties then reading the KB part then it is alot bigger than what you say earlier in the thread (40 Kb)
It says 241KB, how do I make it smaller?
The dimensions are 365x226

Boxhead,

If you are trying to scan into the gallery, I think the MAX, size is 300K but with a dial up connection like I have you will very seldon ever get it in under the 60 second limit.
You can use your photo program if you have one to downsize the picture. I don't know what you have but in PSP 8 I have several ways to do it. also if you are using a digital camera, most camera or scanner software now has a reasonably good way to touch up, and downsize pictures. I was going to go to a DSL connection but with the latest disaster here I am going to be stuck with the dial up for a lng time I fear. Ron (CW) is the best to talk to about your picture but if I can be any help at all you can either e-mail me or leave a message. But Ron (CW) has forgotten more abut everything than I could learn in a century. I did scan a picture of 90K into my gallery some time back to test and then when I tried to click on it to make it expand to the next size nothing happened. I don't know if this was something I did wrong or not as I am going to have to ask Ron also that.

Hope this will help get you started in the right direction.

Ron

Tim:
Pay attention to the "pixel or dpi depth" of the photo. Anything over 72 and it's a waste since that's all a computer monitor will show. Check the properties of the photo to bring it down if needed. Unfortunately I don't know of any freeware photo programs that will allow you to adjust this but you might want to look around.

Don,

Back some time ago someone posted a freeware program that they had downloaded and it did a good job of downsizing pictures. I can't remember the date or the post but it had something to do with posting pictures. Perhaps a search would turn it up if that is all that Tim is trying to do. I don't recall the person saying how it was for doing touch up and such but the downsized pictures he posted are better than what I have managed so far.

Ron:
The program you're probably referrin to is Irfanview and is indeed freeware from the web. It has arguably one of the best downsizing alogrithms around but doesn't provide for decreasing the pixel depth.
