130 mph power slide
I am sure no one cares about all this, but I am having fun digging thru a box of old pictures . This is an arca/nascar car built in Hodgenville Ky in 1972/73,the car was flawless and ran well for several years on the arca circut ,occasionally making a nascar show, pretty big deal for a home built ,self sponsored car
This pic was taking at Rockingham June 10 1973 when the water pump broke off the 427 medium riser.
This car was used in the movie Greased Lightning with Richard Pryor ,if you have ever seen the movie ,this is the car beside pryors blue torino for much of the starting and some of the race sequence,it has 210 productions hand painted on the rear qtr pillar, after Nd realized how visable that would be,one of the girls painted it on with model paint advertise for his company ,,
they worked late into the night in Ky pulling the engine and trans from the pinto short track car and installing in this car to go be movie stars.
I have tried to get him to restore it for vintage races.
