HOT !!! or NOT ???
While I was at the LA auto Show I saw something that could be very loosely called a re-body from "Powersport, California Custom", so I'll show a picture of it to see if you think it is HOT or NOT.

Absolutely vile in the worst possible way. An ostentatious display of the triumph of cash over class.
Is that clear?? JMHO of course.

Now that's ugly! Looks like a refugee from The Jetson's. Just goes to show that you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

How I do love it when the langauge is used so eloquently! And who should speak English better than an Englishman?
Down home they would say " Dadgum, iffen that ain't the buttugliest pank colur I ever seen. And whut 'bout them funny thangs back thar a' coverin' tha wheels?" "Somsumbit*h had more money thans got sense to be a' drivin' thissun".
Oh my! Funny thing is that the expressions convey the same.
sentiment.
Yours in perspicacity....

Keep in mind...
..that the target customer for this "car" has his Caddy in the garage with a convertible sim top, chrome wheel arches, a fakey-do "Rolls" grille and some wide whitewall Vogue tires on 24 spoke wire wheels.....and the CD player has an Englebert disc in it. Trim is white leather to match his belt and shoes.
This has been pitched by the manufacturer as way to "move unsold Thunderbirds"....
Seems like a good way to gaurantee they will stay unsold!
Aren't we all lucky that we have the good taste to pass judgement upon this and those who would buy it!?!

I too like Wilf's use of "Vile" but around here the term "BUTT UGLY" seems to work pretty well. YUK!
I don't even think a third world country would want to claim those mods.

Hey there Clois,
Survived the New Year.
All going well over here. Still sorting the car out. George A and Rick L are giving me a hard time on the Australian Club Forum.
Because I'm to far away to catch up.
Watch the two of them now..
Have a good year now. May catch up at the 'Run N' Gun' this year. Any ideas of a better event??
Cheers
Bernie

Good to here from you Bernie. Unfortunately the dreaded flu bug came to visit me on Christmas Eve and I was so far under the weather on New Years Eve and Day I had to forego any celebrations. "But I am much better now".
It would be nice to see you again at next years R&G. Happy New Year. Oh yea, Rick and George give everyone a hard time no matter where you are.

It would make a great Pepto commercial. Try to picture familiar faces behind the wheel.....Brent, maybe Big Bob Evans, nah....how about Turk? The irony is that Turk could pull it off and make money on it!
