Default New Cobra: 800HP, $80-90K?

The Car Connection has an interesting little piece about the new Cobra over at: http://www.thecarconnection.com/inde...5&article=6752

"If you don't think 605 hp is enough, a supercharger could "easily hit 700" hp, according to advanced product chief Chris Theodore (and perhaps more than 800, according to others involved in the project)."

The article also speculates the sticker price to be in the $80-90K price range, the addition of roll-up windows- and says the concept version had rear-view video cameras, but production version would have mirrors.

That's $80-$90K for the crate engine, right - not the whole car.

IF, and that's a BIG IF, they actually put it into production, I doubt it'll be anywhere close to that cheap.

why? a V10 Roadster from an American company seems only obvious to be priced competively with the Viper. IMO 80-90 grand is right on.

With the Viper engine putting out over 500 horsepower, I don't know why everyone thinks it will take a NASA space shuttle engine to put out 605 horsepower.

I agree that it will be more than 80k if they make it. Maybe 110k I think.
