Opinions, please...
Given that I have the talent and brains to make correct/proper build decisions that reflect my priorities (listed below), what kit should I choose?
1. I'm looking for a well-engineered kit that fits together like everything was pre-fit.
2. Everything I need should cost under 20 grand.
3. The engine/vehicle combo will sell for more dollars than I put into it.
*PLEASE, someone give me their opinion and tell me why!

I'll be watching this thread with great interest.... I'd also be interested in a replica/kit with all of the above...

Here's a quick answer, based on opinion.. I'm sure you will see a few others.
1. At your price-point, there is limited choices that are well-engineered. I think you should look at FFR, B&B and A&C. All are well-engineered and very buildable. However, none of them are the "put Tab A into Slot C" kit...all will require some fabrication skills.
2. It will be hard to stay under $20k, even with the entry-level kits...there are a few all-Donor FFRs that have been assembled for less than 20K, but the trend lately is to go new parts, which will bust your budget.
3. Sell for more? Maybe, but unlikely, especially with a budget build.

Good luck on the 20 grand mark. I went over that and only spent $490 for a motor. Since your from MO why don't you go to Granby,MO and check out a B+B. Jim

OK--I know what FFR is, but please define these (ignorance is a terrible thing):
B&B (B+B?)
A&C
Grandby, MO -- I just checked map quest and they don't have a Grandby, MO!

I don't think you can meet those three priorities.

If that is the case, then he will definiatly not be able meet that list of priorities.

my opinion is you would HAVE to go FFR using the complete donor route,if you can keep from dreaming as you build, and get a deal on the paint, you can do it,and maybe upgrade later if you want.
my suggestion would be though, look for a deal on a used ffr or simular car,I would say you can find a decnet car for 20k or less,,
