Buzz,
You get to drive Daisy?!?
You are a lucky man -- talented, live in a tropical island and have such people to hang out with.

Buzz,
Thank you for your words. I really like the way you make those drawings. I really would like to know how you made that! You are very talented.
Unfortunately, I was out for the past couple of days, and I didn’t had enough time to make a meaningful drawing, but I’m posting a new idea for the Cobra…
Probably next weekend, I’ll post a new Cobra drawing, with a very neat idea for it.
Keep in touch.
B.T.W.: I didn’t know that Tojeiro is working for a replicar company…
Best regards from Portugal,
Ernesto Freitas

Al - you dirty ol' dog you - guess! (hint hint; one of the things I specialize in is creating costumes and settings on the computer so I shoot a variety of model portfolios with a variety of poses that give me a series of "clean slates" to work from )
Ernesto, keep them coming! Your work has a refreshing cleanness of line that creates a sense of modernism while retaining the classic essense. Did you study automotive design?
My technique is geared towards speed and flexibility. As you see in the attached picture, it starts as a rough sketch and then goes into illustrator for fabrication of pieces and panels and proportional adjustments before moving on to photoshop in layers for final assembly contouring and colour. The use of layers allows removal, replacement and adjustment of individual parts before final "flattening".
BTW, Dax named the most successful Cobra clone in the UK the Dax Tojeiro after their technical director. I think their web address is www.daxcars.co.uk

I like what you said… “Your work has a refreshing cleanness of line that creates a sense of modernism while retaining the classic essence.”
Unfortunately I never study automotive design. Specially because I live in Portugal, and that part of the automotive industry simply doesn’t exist…
Of course, if I wanted, I could study in France or UK, but it’s a little expensive…
I just like to draw cars, and I just want to get started with a new software that I bought: 3Dstudio Max.
I’m going to make my cars in 3D form.
Your technique is good and if you want to, or if you can, you may work out my drawings with those software of yours, to make them more realistic… If you have time for it…
BTW, I notice that you live in the St. Lucia island. You are a lucky guy, living in paradise. Here in Europe, Portugal is known as the “garden planted by the sea”. We have good weather almost all year, except for a few weeks in the winter. Those weeks are passing right now, and we are experiencing –3 Celsius.
Best regards from Portugal,
Ernesto Freitas

You know, anywhere else in the world you'd have to pay admission to see a show like this!!!!
WOW what talent! If the big boys at Ford and Shelby aren't paying attention to this, they ought to be given a fair trial and hung at the end of the week!
Buzz and Ernesto, you two should be setting up a design studio and collaborating with the auto makers of the world. What marvelous insight you both have.
Al
