For you SPF guys.....
Do any of you have a picture of your driver's side footbox? I've decided to hang my pedals from the top....and I want a good reference picture. Right now my clutch pedal center is 5" from the left side of the footbox...I know these cars place you a little crooked in the cockpit, but I wanna compare some things.

I have the seat out of my SPF while changing over from a hydraulic T/O bearing to hydraulic slave, so I can get some good photos for you.....
If you would like another shot, tell me what you are looking for, and I will try to post it this weekend.

Wow, that's great Jim. Thanks a lot. That clutch pedal is pretty close to the footbox wall isn't it?
It's been awhile since I've been in a Cobra...and it's hard to see these things in my own car...since it's still in the building process.
How are the seats usually mounted...straight ahead or kinda cocked to the left a little?

I just put 2 pics in my gallery for you. Superformance has changed the pedal layout and footwell depth at some point and mine is presumebly an early car without the changes. It's interesting to see Jim's pic, I believe it shows the deeper floor. What car number is yours Jim?
I find that even with my freakishly large feet that the pedal layout and footwell area is quite natural. I'm not sure of the consensus on clutch pedal to wall is but I prefer it somewhat close so that my foot doesn't slip to the outside during clutching. I have heard others say that it's possible with a shifted pedal layout to hit the brake instead of the clutch.
BTW, my 2 pics are taken straight ahead and centered on the seat.

With the clutch pedal to close to the sidewall you don't have any place to rest your clutch foot (except ON the pedal!! My next one will have some kind of "dead pedal" next to the clutch.

Mike,
My car is 887, and it has the dropped floor. There is room on the side of the clutch pedal to rest your foot. There were several changes made to the footwell area shortly before my car was made.... The pedal and seat layout IS nice, and it only takes a short drive to get used to it.
I'm going on year 3 with the car, and had to pull the transmission to repair a leaking hydraulic throwout bearing. I am changing the car over to hydraulic slave!! The transmission was pulled from the interior - you can remove the trans tunnel cover much easier than pulling the whole engine/trans out. What's your car number, Mike?
Brent,
I posted more photos of the pedal setup in my gallery, including a shot of the assembly from the engine compartment. There is a photo of the complete assembly at
