Backdraft Quality
I recently took delivery of a Backdraft #91. It had the wrong color dash and door panels. Last week I recieved the right color panels and dash. I have built 2 Cobra replica's and sold them to buy this car. I think the folks at Backdraft....Reg and Tony deserve a pat on the back for their amount of quality I observed. When you yank out a dash and replace door panels, you can begin to see just how the car was put together. I was impressed with the wiring of the dash and the effort to make each crimp-on connector tight. The dash harness was simple and all wires had enough legnth to actually drop the entire dash while removing each individual guage. I had to remove the door latch to get the new panels in....I didn't have to re-adjust the latch upon re-assembly! The removal/installation of the steering column was very easy...they even double pinned the steering shaft to the rack shaft! I also appreciate the adjustment slots on the fuse box/pad. This allows the pad plate assembly to slide forward/backward for proper closing adjustment. I think you guys were looking forward toward the servicing of your cars and not to just get them out the door.
