It was. A Geo Storm (I think) is trapped in a snowbank after the driver apparently turned too sharply into a driveway, or cut too sharply trying to back out of it. A group of boys who appear to be high-school-aged are gathered around. One of them is hooking up a tow strap underneath the rear of the car. The other end is hooked to a Toyota pickup, the car is placed in reverse, and the truck tries to pull it out. They pull the car backward a few feet but really only succeed in pulling it farther off of the road and into the snow. There is also a loud noise from the back of the car as they do so.
After a quick visual inspection another attempt is made; the car moves a bit. A third attempt begins. The car moves a little more, someone in the background is heard shouting "Stop! Stop! Stop!", then the rear bodywork of the car EXPLODES into pieces. Rear bumper cover, tailights, wiring, bits of plastic from behind the bumper, etc. all fly off of the car and land all over the road and the snowbank. The rear bumper is ripped clean off and is in the road. Cut to shots of the kids and confused/bemused/astonished looks and comments.
The car is still stuck in the snow.
As someone said, the ironic thing is there were more than enough onlookers present to have pushed or lifted the car out. Hindsight is 20/20.
