I've always found it amazingly humorous that some posters demand that a manufacturer respond to their particular post on this forum... as if they (the manufacturer) have nothing to do but sit around and read these things.
Regardless of my feelings about the new Shelby products and/or the marketplace in general, I think its a pretty class act for Mr Fenimore to respond to some of the stuff being thrown around here.
My only point is, while I enjoy the info, comraderie, and even the occasional bickering that sometimes goes on in these forums - if you want a response from the manufacturer... pick up the phone and give them a call.

Gary Osborne: Your points are well taken and thanks for your supportive comments. As to the perceived "anti Shelby crowd bashing" on my part what can I say except that around here I have been conditioned to "shot first and ask questions later".

I imagine that this question has been answered before but is the glass 4000 the only one that CAV/SAI is producing in SA. If so are the rest of the models being produced in Las Vegas? Thanks

Evan
Shouldn't that be "post first, spellcheck later?"

Evan - if it is any consolation, I don't truly believe you should be "shot first and ask questions later".
A couple of questions up front would be only fair.

TerrySPF, reply on wife subject!
Terry,
Well, as far as going to SAAC does Vegas on Feb 14th, my wife as always said that she wished I loved her a much as I loved my Shelby. I guess I just transferred that love from the 67 GT-500 I sold to the Cobra which has not arrived yet!
My wife is beautiful, smart, and she will puke whenever I turn the TV to the Speed Channel or some other automotive program. Her idea of a good car event is her at the mall with my daughter shopping while I am at the car event.
I guess they are correct when they say opposites attract.

no, no, no!
Ernie,
You are missing my point.
I am not say I have a cyrstal ball, or SAI is bad because they are late.
ERNIE, READ THIS!:::::

Hey, a couple of posts ago I said the people who bought the cars would suffer, and some of you out there (and you know who you are) said "why do you think the customers will suffer???".

I am saying that the guys that thought they would get cars, do not have cars. And "IMO" that would bother "someone like me"!
Geez, give me a break.
Alan, of course we are late. It happens. Of course in business when you really have to have a product on time, you get a "Liquidated Damages" clause in the contract. I bet you have signed a few to get an order like me.

You know man I am just a few minutes away from your car. I would be willing to go out and drive it for you. Just trying to help a brother out. Charitable kind of guy that I am

Eric: My point is that delays are not uncommon in business and in this situation not to be totally unexpected.
Buyers are understandably disappointed and frustrated as I am sure they are hoping to have their Shelbys for use this summer.
I would be frustrated too. In the end I my bet is that they will be happy with their Shelby.

Evan,
Did he realize you're an attorney? Don't fool yourself, he looks at everyone with good kidneys, heart and organs with love. His better half is significantly younger, so other parts might also be on the "priority list"

I will admit that I am not a fan of Carroll Shelby, used to be, but that has long past.
That said, I continue to read, here and other places over the past several years about Shelby saying and promising a rather long list of activities and actions that were to happen "shortly", then they don't, and then seemly to later make statements about "the delays" were due to need to keep upquality, etc.
Yet, nothing seems to actually come from all these statements, promises or claimed actions, just more reasons why they haven't happened or why he had to make a complete change of direction, move, get new partner, etc.
He recently went dramatically dropped prices, I believe to entice people to stay with him and order more. He has changed business names, how many times in the past few of years? Gotten new partnerships, then abandoned them, or got sued???
Now, I believe the above are a reasonable statement of facts.
This is absolutely amazing. Anyone else would have been laughed off the planet, been sued out of existance and certainly lost every potential customer possible. But not Shelby, why? It doesn't appear anyone can trust that what he says will actually happen.
I hope for the sake of everyone who has a car on order from Shelby, that something happens soon for the positive for them, but it don't look good.
My 2 cents on the matter.

Bill32,
you talking about me? Seems like I'm always trying another "investment" approach of some kind. Some work some don't. But I'll tell you one thing, I talk about ALL of them like there the best thing to happen since sliced bread! And if it don't pan out, I move on to the next one.
Hey, by the way, I got a heck of a deal on some land here, going build a house and sell it. You wanna piece of the action?

As a peace offering, since you have your Cobra, buy here a great big new Ford Excursion, call it the "Puke Tank".

Brett,
Did that, its a Supercharged Nissan Exterra! Of course she has no idea what a Supercharger is, or why it makes that wirling sound when you step on the gas peddle. You just have to love them.

Hey Guys...
I do not own a Shelby, and I have never owned a Shelby. I only had the incredible opportunity to work for the Man, and I think that gives me a little credibility to some extent. I believe that Brent F. has given you all a very plausible and straight forward answer to satisfy the qualms of those that have cars on order, and also to those who don't. I realize all of you that ordered cars have all probably put a lot of money out towards this deal, but I think in the past you will recall that Shelby has not let people down. They have done everything humanly possible to make things right, and that is what I think they are doing now. SO, I would cut them some slack, and let them do what they need to do to get things done!
This is in NO WAY an offical Shelby thing, because I do not work for them anymore, but I thought I would my 2 cents in anyway.
Thanks for listening.
The Deacon
