It may not be a good as modern mirrors but it works a lot better.

Speedway sells mirrors for oval track car they may work on a Cobra.

Some Cobras like the E-M, the dash is lower than the trunk (or the trunk is higher) so the stock mirror is to low. When you look into the mirror, on the bottom half you see the bulkhead of the car. You can raise the mirror 2" with a piece of aluminum that matches the size of the mirror base. Looks good and does not stand out.

Mirrors are a problem on a 60's English made car!

Have fun and see ya on the road
The mirror can also be raised by using a longer stem that Craigs Cobras sells.

SPF* Rearview* Mirror* Bracket

Also use the mirror that Terry sells from Dream Car Company that attaches to the wind wing. This works very well and is also a nice looking billet piece.

You and me both Pat. Those little brackets are a trick to make and fit good, then there's the angled screws and the straight ones, different width posts. I can see why you didn't want to go any further than just yours. Thanks for the idea though it's a slick set up.

I like the way these look, would you have a view from the left side of the car for a better view of how they attach?
Our car is bagged for the winter so cannot check the screws you speak off.

Excuse the dust.

You hear a lot of squawks about the dash mounted mirror but it works good for me. This is probably just a case of good luck that my personal geometry works with this setup. This is just one of those things you have to fidget with until it suits your personal needs. I'm using Speedway 4" Peep mirrors for the sides mounted to the winshield frame. DS is good however the PS is only good for letting you see if something is there or not. Otherwise unless your neck swivels good you could have a problem.

The Harley has the best mirrors I have seen so I made a mount that would accept them, they have a wide variety to chouse from and some that looks correct for a cobra. Once you try a set you will never go back to finder mounts. One of the larger vender is making a deal for them but until that happens I will sale them for cost to the club members. Go to a Harley store or web site and see what is available. I will try to post photos if any one wont's to see them.
