Default Speed trap?

Some guys just us the tonneau and let the heater keep their lower half warm (or should I say warmish). Just remember when you pick up your new fast car that either the top or tonneau probably have a speed limit. Not sure about the new SPF tops but my top and tonneau are limited to 75MPH by the book. Perhaps Hal can step in here and confirm or debunk the need for the speed limit.

I did over 85 mph with my soft top. It gets ugly at that speed, I wouldn't recommend it!

well, the official SPF recommendation is i think something like 75 mph, but i have now the newer fabric top on my car, and i have pulled over the ton with no flapping, it seemed fine to me.

a bit noisy, but not from the top. The new three bar top with the velcro wraps over the bars really is slick. Not a quick top to put on properly, though, compared to the old style tops you just tossed over the hoops.

I plan on a little 4 hour trip tomorrow afternoon, assuming i complete my Canton fuel filter installation. Using Socketless Aeroquip hoses.

If it's cold or raining out you won't be sitting in your regular position .You will find yourself leaning forward and slightly inward with your head lowered looking for that spot where it is a little warmer and out of the rain and wind. With out the windwings I had to keep my left arm up on top of the door or the wind buffeted my left ear. After the new wears off without a top you'll be making decissions whether to go or not upon the weather forcast . It may have rained all day at home and twenty miles away it will be sunny allday, it has happened. Get THE TOP.
