Slip Yokes, U-Joints, & Weld Yokes
Quick question...
Yokes and u-joints come in 1310's, 1330's, and 1350's. Can you interchange them? I guess what I'm getting at is are the numbers sizes or strengths? If I have a Strange 1350 pinion yoke, can I mate it up with a 1330 u-joint and weld yoke?

They are all different sizes. You may be able to find a cross with 1350 size on one pair and 1330 on the other. Call a place that makes driveshafts.

When I had mine shortened the driveline shop put the right sizes on for me. The whole deal was under $90 for shortened, balanced, u-joints, and re-checked on the car.

Blykins: contact Denny"s Driveshafts in Buffalo, NY, they are the "Experts" $200 you have what you need, they provide drawing spec on-line, you just fill in the blanks and submit them with your credit card, less than 2-weeks you have your steel driveshaft painted black with their decal, balanced ready to go into you car. No problems, can't recommend them enough, don't forget your driveshaft hoop from Summit Racing.

I called them...the reason I probably won't let them do it is that I bought a 1350 u-joint to match my Strange 1350 pinion yoke...and they won't ship me their driveshaft without a rear u-joint...so I have a spare...which is no good to me.
I called Mark Williams' shop today....I can buy the 3" 4140 chro-moly tubing, all the weld yokes, u-joints, etc...for $148.50. My dad used to be a boilermaker by trade...so needless to say, he can weld. We have all the tools here in shop (lathes, presses, etc)...so I'm gonna make my own and then have someone balance it.
