lordy lordy. there have been so many responses to this question. try a search on insurance and you will determine that insurance differs from state to state, co to co, car to car, driver to driver etc.
there is no easy answer to this question. some folks will say try xyz and someone else will say they just called xyz and they wont write cobras.
fact is, the co's that are writing cobra insurance are dwindling . and, those that do are increasing the cost, increasing the deductibles and reducing the coverage with additional disclaimers.
good luck in your search...bottom line, there are still many regular and collector car co's that will write cobra policies and also many that did and will not do so now.
good luck with your search. mine is covered by Grundy ( a Chubb owned co) . friends have gotten covered by them while others were told NO. so go figure. other folks will say the same thing about their co's....
whatever you do, try to get AGREED VALUE for the max protection, it is worth the extra bucks should you have a catastrophic total loss.
insurance CAN be found, it just might take you some searching, some good luck and the right timing to find an agent that will say YES to you when they have said NO to others. Bill.
