Default comp roll bar and radiator questions,

I love the comp roll bar look, but I'm not sure I've seen it on a 427 car,I am to the stage now that I can do it on my shell valley, would this be correct for any kind of big block car ? and does any one have pics of the installation points ?
2nd,what size radiator do I need for an fe ?I have a good quality aluminum 22x 19 but I am wondering if it is large enough.
I really appreciate your guys input,,Tim

Tim, you talking about the roll bar that comes down into the passenger side footbox? I think they were only on 289 FIA cars, right? Computerworks or someone could tell you for sure if they see this thread.....

And on the radiator...SV offers the same radiator for SBF's and BBF's....so the radiator I have would be the one they would send you for an FE. Do you need the dimensions again?

Tim... like bly said, i guess you mean the forward braced roll bar.

It was freely used on the 289s, but not so much on 427s.

CSX3002 had one, as the first coil spring car.. it had lots of 289 carry-over. CSX 3004 had one, too.

Here are two pics for you of the roll bar in 3002...
(also notice the Comp drivers seat and the modified 289 street dash)

Do you have any knowledge on how cumbersome it will be for a passenger ? that could be a snag,,thanks again,,Tim

Not first hand...but I hear from people that have the front brace that the passengers can actually get in and out easier with that big "grab handle"

Default Roll Bar

That roll bar isn't bad for the passanger, I'm pretty tall too.
Ron, where is that video of 3002 I've been after for almost a year?

Jim Crilly had one on his SPF at the Fling last year, I rode with him and the forward bar was no problem. I have the forward bar on my 289 and it really isn't a problem, ac tually kind of nice for both driver and passenger sort of a grab handle to get out of the car rather than the natural inclination to "grab" the windshield frame which is a no-no unless you like to replace glass.

I think there is a picture or two around of Jim's car w/ his "lady"
