Question Cockpit dimensions

Hi all! I thought I read on here awhile back that the cockpit size of the 289 and the 427 are the same. A search of the site has not cleared this up for me. If they are, can I safely assume that between the front and rear wheels, the body is also the same. This will clear up any future arguments with a friend of mine.
Thanks in advance! Jay Little.

Thanks for the reply Rick! Let me word the question this way. If I were to take the top (Hard or soft) off of a 289 and place it on a 427, would it fit? Same windshield? Doors interchangeable? Hood? Trunk? (not taking into account the dimples in the FIA) Tonnue cover (spelling?). If one would measure from outside of the drivers door to the outside of the passenger door on an 289 model, then measure the same on the 427 model, would they be the same? I am sure that this these things have been brought up before, but my search queries aren't finding exactly what I'm looking for.

Just someone trying to expande his knowldge of everything Cobra.
Jay Little.

The doors are different between the slabside, FIA, and 427. I also don't think the tops would be interchangable. They are similar like sisters with the same sized body, not identical twins.
