Kirkham KMP286 delivered....She is beautiful!!
First off, I want to thank David and Tom and the rest of the gang at Kirkham Motorsports http://www.kirkhammotorsports.com . What an incredible machine. I've not had any time to really look at all the details, but what a work of art. I can't wait to get a look at the suspension up close...I'll be pulling a wheel off tomorrow to have a look!
Oh, and some of you heard about the "little" upgrade David threw in...Well, it might be little to them, but to me it was BIG. How about a little stainless steel....Like the whole damn frame and roll bar! It's pretty!!!
Thank you to Rich Lacy http://www.shellvalley.com/Delivery/ for the delivery. This is the second time I have used Rich's services and he's great! Thank you!
Here's a couple shots, but I added more to my gallery.

Brent,
That truly is a work of art. The Kirkhams have done amazing things. Even the Shelby die-hards think they are amazing.

I am thrilled for ya...totally deserved!
Things that you'll notice...
You'll admire brushed kitchen appliance ads in your wife's magazines.
You'll find yourself daydreaming on the toilet for extended periods.
You'll try different colored Windex bottles, Glass Plus and other assorted cleaners to see which works best.
Diapers...you'll appreciate old soft diapers.
Every now and then you'll come across the Sharpie signature of some Polish guy that did that particular panel...and smile to yourself.
You'll end up buying every color of Scotchbrite your store carries.
Welcome to the fine madness.

Brent --
As you begin to check out all of the cool details of your car, you will become happier and more amazed -- the amount of skill and work that goes into making a Kirkham is astounding. I marveled at the number of times that I stopped and said "now that is truly boss." Things like the welding on the stainless steel frame, or the electrical bits that say "made in england" or the bilet suspension, or the Penske coil overs, or the marks on the inside of the body where the Mig guys worked the 'luminum into the smooth arches and complex curves -- the list goes on.
Ya done good!

Guys, I can't stop staring at it...Can you go blind from staring too long? I feel so fortunate. I remember at the Spring Fling this year just hoping like so many that not only would Jenny be taken care of, but that I would be on the right end of that raffle. I distinctly remember thinking that would probably be the only way I'd ever end up with one, and I was just drooling over Jamo's car all weekend. It really is a dream come true. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love my old car and there are plenty of really nice kits, etc, but I have always loved aluminum, and the bare bones look/feel of the originals, and the Kirkhams deliver a high degree of authenticity and quality for that type of car.
csx700?, you are correct, the Kirkhams are great, and the product is a result of their greatness.
CobERA, already thinking of that drive!
clayfoushee, I couldn't agree more.
mrmustang, thanks! I feel extremely fortunate and grateful.
Jamo, I've got the daydreaming down. Hard to concentrate on anything. Yes, I am finding plenty of signatures and 286's all over the place.
W. MITTY, tonight I did a little more poking around. Just thinking about the work involved to make a quality aluminum body is just amazing. Pretty damn cool.
RACERAL, it is pretty cool and as I said before, I feel extremely fortunate. It's just neat.
bnewell, I am sorry to hear about not getting through to them. I know they have been extremely busy lately as I spoke with Tom on the phone a couple weeks ago and he said it's been crazy since the beginning of the year....I'm sure David would be the first to apologize for an oversight here.
Wild Thing, yup, that is me in the car. The first drive....without a motor of course.
HighPlainsDrifter, I have been grinning ear to ear since Wednesday night.
Tom T., well, you probably wouldn't regret it.

Brent,
Enjoy it.
Listen to everything Jamo said about keeping it clean.
The diapers...They have to be new.Unused.
Otherwise you will have a big mess in your hands.

Hey Brent, I heard that POR15 sticks well to stainless. You should have that frame looking good in no time at all.

Brent,
Congratulations and that is a beautiful car. If anyone ever deserved one you do. Now if you can get the motor with a stainless block and all the pretty stuff it will be fantastic. I envy you and good luck.
