Congrats!! My father, my wifes' father and his girlfriend are calling us constantly (our mothers are deceased). They can't wait to spoil their grandson. I'm glad they both live roughly within an hour drive, so they can spend time with him. Maybe he'll be born on St. Patricks' Day (even though we aren't Irish). Can you imagine what his 21st b-day party would be like??

3/13/04 11:05am I am waiting for the first day to take my kids for a ride in the cobra they can't wait Neither can I but they have to be big enough to ride in the seat by themselves. Safety first.

Steve tell the lovely wife that in order to hit my guess she should be having contractions by now. You know, there is never a bad time to take up jogging  Is she nesting? My wife nested like crazy the day before the contractions began. Watch for the sign.
Since this is your first, here is a tip. Don't make the same mistake I did and pack only one pair of underware for her. Seemed logical to me......... after all, one day one pair! My daughter is about to turn 13 and my wife still brings the 'one pair' episode up from time to time.
Good luck in the feminine hygiene isle when the wife sends you for the inevitable need after the blessed event. My wife said 'pads' and through the keys at me. When I arrived at the store there was a fifty by eight foot wall of pads. I almost had a break down. Ever see 'Moscoe on the Hudson' with Robin Williams when he is in the store to by coffee and he goes into overload. That was me.
For those first sleepless nights there seems to be some magic in a clothing dryer, a load of wet towels, car seat and duct tape. Worked for me. Daughter on dryer, father on laundry table in the morning.

It's funny you said that. She's been cleaning, straightening up and just antsy lately. I think a lot of it is nervous energy. Even though she's uncomfortable and tired, she is just so excited and anxious, she can't sit still sometimes.
That's a really funny story about the days after (bet it wasn't funny for you at the time). Thankfully, she's though far enough ahead to think of the underwear and feminine hygiene issues. That's already taken care of. Damn, I'm lucky. But maybe it's me that should pack more than one pair of underwear for the hospital

She is nesting man! Animals do it and we are no different!
Child birth was the one time in my life I fealt the most helpless! Any thing I could do couldn't touch what the epidural could do.
Any one think the whole thing is kind of like a scene from Aliens?
