Thanks for the compliments (that I didn't quote). But, yeah - in person when you set a FFR next to another brand of Cobra .. take a step back .. you'll see the differences, but only from the rear. I noticed it first when an ERA FIA street car parked next to me. After I stopped drooling (no roll bar, no hood scoop, BIG flares), I was like, "hey, what the !?!". Of course, the crowd would flock to my car .. with the "whoa .. check it out." .. then they would ask the ERA owner, "is that a Cobra too?"
My car does not sit higher than the 2 Uniques in the photo. Actually .. if anything, it's lower. Look again at the pic, specifically .. the steering wheels. It's the "perky" butt that's giving the illusion that it's a Cobra 4X4. It is narrower and juts upwards .. I've never taken measurements, but talk with some FFR owners about how wide of a rear wheel that can squeeze under their cars. Answer: not much of one.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my FFR and didn't even consider another brand when it came time to buy one. I like the concept of using Mustang parts and that was a HUGE selling factor for me - price was the second. Plus, that do a damn good job of marketing their product.
Now .. I am saving my pennies for a Tri-state body and will be painting it a less than traditional color and no stripes. Everyone has a freaking blue one with stripes causing my preferences to have changed.
