Cool oil resevior & overflow tank

I'm curious , I have seen pictures of FIA 289 Cobras and in some pictures they show an oil tank towards the rear of the engine compartment hooked up to oil breathers at the rear of the valve covers also this is on a motor with weber carb setup does this take the place of the pvc because there is nothing on intake, also on the harrison overflow tank , how does that hook up is it to the bypass on water pump because on the weber intake again there are no extra ports for water other than the radiator y on the front of intake thanks John B.

the breather tank on the back by the firewall is for oil vapors and allows for less build up of crank case presures (427 comp cars also have them), not for "pcv" purposes as the oil is not introduced into the combustion chamber or intake system. the weber intake ("cobra" style) has 2 outlets that connect via hoses to a "y" pipe that goes to the radiator. the radiator tank has a 2 pipes that connect to the radiator overflow (small dia.) and to the heater connection on the water pump (large dia.). there is a weber manifold out there that ford made for the 289 gt40's that has a thermostat and normal outlet to the radiator.

Thanks CSX 700? I just picked up my weber setup today , it looks like I have to plug the bypass on waterpump & hookup the large hose from overflow in the other port thanks again!
