Now I know why I got wheels that are held on with lug nuts.

Well if I had spent the last few days beating on it, I'd need to take a break too.

They make 'em in concrete? Seems like it would rub you raw. What'd ya use for lubrication?

Jim,
Just unbolt the entire wheel, suspension, and assembly and send it to me. TC had the right idea. I will turn it over to one of my guys and let you know what its problem was. Better than ruining a hub, wheel, fender, etc. (all of the aforementioned parts are very expensive.) If we ruin it, it won't cost you a nickel.

There ya go...Davey and da boys to da rescue.
OK...intermission. Everyone go to the bathroom, refill your drinks and get ready for the next thread: "Hey David, how do you get this $$%%^&&**(&%^#@# suspension off?"

SF,
There you have an answer. Take the whole rear end out and send it to David and his guys. Saturday is approaching and I can't wait to see the next step of this saga. This is more fun than reading about Turk and his ever changing car parade.
Allen,
I think a better title would be As The Spinner Didn't Turn.

Don't send it to David, send it to me!
I won't fix your problem, but I will make a real neat coffee table out of the wheel and suspension!

Can you do that?
If I knew you could change a tire that way, I wouldn't be carrying the scissor jack in the trunk in case I had a flat or something.
What is next? To change the timing on our cars, you hold the distributor in place while you rotate the engine?
TURK

Nobody's asked yet why he's taking the blasted thing off.
Not that I'm on CC at work, but everyone at work just looked at me funny after I read Turk's new timing adjustment technique and I started cracking up, followed by a good snort of coffee coming out all over my desk.
But Turk, I think you're oversimplifying this new timing procedure. I'd think the proper thing to do would be to remove the timing cover, remove the timing chain, pull the cam, send it back to CompCams (or wherever), have them take it out of the package, note how it is aligned in their hand, rotate it a couple degrees, take a picture, put it back in the package, and send it back.
And I'll be damned if next time I run out of gas, I just drive up to the pump and fill my car. I'm going to send my carb in to Barry Grant and have them refill it.
Gawd, are we on page 6 now for this one, really?

Cant wait
I don't have my Cobra yet but, as stupid as this may sound, I can't wait to have some of these experiences.
Looking forward to being an active part of the nuthouse.
