Squeek in rt rear suspension

I have developed an anoying squeek in the Rt rear suspension of SPF 1094. It squeeks on up and down movement (if I rock it up an down it squeeks in both directions) . I put it on a lift and cannot isolate where it comes from. I tried spraying with silicon lube on springs and moving parts but no help. Any sugestions. It started after sitting over the winter with no use.

Charly I had the same squeek, I removed both rear tires and applied penitrating oil around every rubber bushing, after a good drive the squeek was gone.

Gary Osborne had a similar annoying squeek that drove him crazy. After lubricating the rear bushings, the sway bar bushing etc we finally isolated it to the bushing under the trans mount. The bushing has a metal sleave that had worn through the rubber on the bottom surface causing a metal to metal contact. Try putting your car on a 4 post lift. While you're rocking it up and down, have a friend under the car and place a long flat headed screwdriver on each side of the trans mounts. It will be obvious if that's the problem. If it is, loosen the bolt, use a bottle jack, lift the trans slightly When you pull the bushing out, you immediately see the bare metal area. Place a large rubber washer ( like the one you'd find in a toilet filler replacement assembly) between the surfaces and retighten snuggly.

Same problem with SPF642. I sprayed liberal quantities of silicone (not WD40) on all the bushings and joints and the squeak went away.

It might sound like these guys are suggesting a backyard fix, but on page 35 of the owners manual, it does say to use "...liquid wrench or similar penetrating oil/lubricant" on the suspension bushings. I give 'em all a little squirt every time I have the car up for greasing and service. If that's not it, you may have to use Dan's toilet tank washer trick. Please let us know what you find.
