First frame pics of the $10k cobra
I got the frame mockup done for the $10K Cobra. This is just a mockup to see how everthing fits, and build the jig, so it's not real pretty. It was made of scrap tubing, the actual production frames will be made of all new DOM tube. (watch for the pic, 'Werks)

Bruce,
Looks good. I like the round tube frame and the origional style front suspension layout.
What suspension goodies do you have in mind for it?
Will the pedals come up through the floor?
Will the roll bar be exposed behind the driver as per the origional?
Steve

Thanks Ron. Stevo, yep the rollbar will be exposed.Provisions for Willwood hanging pedals on the cowl hoop(not on frame in pics). C-4 Corvette front suspension, factory Ford ,3 link 8.8 in rear. There is also a full backbone to be installed yet, and then full destructive testing to get REAL numbers of torsional resistance.(wait 'till you see the fully seamless body!)

Bruce,
.......And a back bone to boot
I like the direction you are taking it.
Be damn sure to get that "Squat" stance in the rear (Damn, I love that look). It would be neat to have them pedals come up through the floor. I know that's probably not in the cards at that target price. Maybe you could offer them as an upgrade/ option.
(or maybe you could tell me to take a hike)
Oh, and try to think about the guys who would want under car exhaust. I'm getting a little burned out on the S/C config.
Is the frame config. going to accept a readily available fuel cell?
Think servicability:
Like being able to remove the radiator fairly easy.
Being able to remove the headers without pulling the engine would be a real plus.
The trans will be removable from the bottom, yes???
Steve
Just my 2 cents, because that's all I can afford.
Christmas wish: optional mechanical clutch linkage..... THAT would be cool if you could manage it.

Guys, If I can hit all the numbers rite this car will rock the Cobra industy like no other. Poor folks will be able to have one, rich guys can have 2 or more cars. I'm going to run 3 or 4 "kits" and get them to "dealers"for product evaluation. Dealers wanted!

There's something about building a hot rod in a barn that makes all of this fascinating and attractive.....good luck with your venture!

10K is getting closer to my price range! Looking forward to future info.
BTW, how much blood do I have to sell to get 10K?

Guys, if there is enough interest , I may accelerate the program. The Cheetahs are taking all of my time rite now. So I only nibble at work on the $10k Cobra.
