Here on Long Island it's not uncommon to see at least one Cobra a day and on weekends they are all over the place. I suppose having the Snakepit and HRE both located here has alot to do with it. I'm willing to bet there are more 427 Cobra replicas located on L.I. than the whole original production figure. There are 5 that I know of just in my small town alone. I passed two yesterday within a 30 minute-8 mile span and I was IN my Cobra! So someone got to see 3 Cobras in 30 minutes. Even so, I don't think interest is waning because the manufacturers can't seem to build these cars fast enough to meet the demand. Although there are so many Cobras here they still cause a stir wherever they show up. I know I still always get excited when I see one on the road. I don't get like that when an AMC Marlin goes by and thats a far more rare sighting on the road than a Cobra.
