One Week To Delivery

Hey Guys and Gals,

I'm admittedly beside myself.

I'm about to cross over between the "haves" and the "wants". Rich Lacy is scheduled to deliver my Shell Valley kit next Friday, April 30.

Rich is great....tell him I said hi! Heck, I may even run into him this weekend at Knott's.

Enjoy your car....take it slow the first few laps until it's all sorted out and you're comfortable with the power/weight ratio.

Quick question-On your build site you mention the TKO600 transmission. Were you able to acquire one? I've been running around all over the place and haven't found anyone with them available yet.

There was a group of folks attempting a group purchase on the TKO-600s a short time ago. Joe, from Standard Transmission in Dallas/Ft. Worth is the dealer for that group buy. James Baldwin is the Club Cobra member that was collecting names/orders.

As of today, I haven't yet purchased the transmission, but Joe and I are exchanging telephone calls and are close to an arrangement. I'm still hoping to get one of these for my kit.

BTW, Rich Lacey delivered my cobra.. and he is one of the good guys! Expect excellent care and prompt delivery! You can see a pic of him in my photo gallery, staring at my dust covered West Coast stowed in my garage (Don't blame Rich for the dust, that was Vern Redel's fault @ WCC! Rich saved me by delivering my car from Vern's clutches!)
