San Diego area Club Cobra / Shelby members?

San Diego / So Cal members...,

I've been spending some time in San Diego, Encinitas / Cardiff area visiting relatives lately and wondering if there are any CCmembers or Shelby club people around this area?. I don't see many SoCal postings. Any regular meeting places or events to note throughout the year near San Diego or surrounding towns?

Used to live in SD until about 8 months ago, and the Shelby Club is strong down there. Visit their website at www.socalsaac.org

If you are looking for cruise nights, there is a nice one down in La Mesa on Thursday nights, and also a good one just East of you in Escondido on Friday nights too.

Their website will have meeting times and locations posted on it.

Thanks, I just returned home from SD area. it seems there are few car nuts down there... I went to the link Bob showed me. That was refreshing to see and know. I'm considering pulling up all of my roots and relocating to that area from NorCal to be near my family in Cardiff; not sure yet but wanted to see if any of my car buddies would be there. This is always a prerequisite for me!

if I go back down to see my sisters, I'll definitely send you an IM and look you up. I may not go down again for a while. I would be seeking a solid company in my field there... If you know of any good head-hunters down there for IT related jobs, let me know. I do work with large-scale medical systems. Seems there is a nice technology and medical presence down there - so who knows... Just starting to look now. Thanks.

I am about a half hour north of both you and Joea, in Laguna Niguel.....

There seem to be a good number of cruises that get scheduled that allow the SD and OC car nuts to connect - Temecula, North SD, South OC, etc.

As far as Med cos. in San Diego, San Diego is to Med/pharma companies, what Silicon Valley is/was to tech. More and more medical companies are anchoring themselves in San Diego. Not sure about headhunters, but I have a few contacts I will try to include in an email a little later.

Jobs are picking up here in San Diego. It has been a little slow but steady since the first of the year. There are more and more cars here in SD as well. There will be another when Kirkham starts shipping the 427F in a box later in the summer.

I am also looking to re-locate to North County in the next 6 mo's or so, and bringing my Cobra. If I move, I'll definitely be looking to organize or get involved with Cobra-related drives, meets, etc...
