Hello Cobra Club,
My name is Dave and I'm a friend of both Dwayne and Danny A/K/A (Hogdealer). I have just finished reading all 33 pages of your posts and I must say that I'm very impressed with everyone's support, help, and compassion for Dwayne's health problems as well as his Cobra issue. Danny certainly has enlisted the help of a very dedicated group of Cobra lovers who have the voice and power to help in achieving Dwayne's dream of owning his dream CSX Cobra.
From the moment I met Dwayne all he could talk about is this Cobra. Ok, Harley's too. Last January, as we took a motorcycle ride from L.A. through Death Valley to Vegas, Dwayne was estatic to see the progress on his Cobra. The first thing we did in Vegas was to Visit his Cobra. Even though Dwayne was still being B.S.'ed by Roy Hunt and crew, when Dwayne saw the bare aluminum body of his Cobra his smile say's it all.
Below is a photo of Dwayne and his Cobra from January 2004 which I took that day.
Happy holidays to all and God bless Dwayne

The old House of Cobras took a picure of me smiling & sitting in my brand new SPF back in '98 - right before they jerked me around for three more months (total of seven) & installed a boat motor where a $10,000 351 SVO was supposed to live.
I look like the happiest, most excited guy in the world in that picture.
This industry is pathetic.

Dave,
Thanks for posting the pictures. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. His battle has made me reflect on what matters in life and how valuable our time is.

Dave,
I'm praying that the next pictures you post are some of
Dwayne sitting in his finished Cobra with an even bigger grin!

Dave,
Thanks for posting the pictures. I really pray that the next one I see of Dwayne will be him getting into the Cobra for it's first drive.
Durt,
Did the Superformance float any better with the boat motor?

If I'm not mistaken, there's an old Turkish cure for the flu floating around here somewhere...

Absolutely correct: 2 fingers of Old Grand Dad or Raki initially then another 2 fingers every 20 minutes for 2 hours. It may not cure the flu but you really won't care.

*** WHERE IS CARROLL SHELBY ***
To Date we still do not know if Carroll himself ever lifted the receiver to call and straighten out this situation.
*** NOTE TO CARROLL ***
Carroll get off your A$$ and call Dwayne. Then call your people in Las Vegas and tell them to make sure this gets done. Then when you have straighted out all the current messes, get down on your hands and knees and ask God to forgive you (it's called Repentance) for all the pain & suffering you and those who work for you, have put people through in the name of profit.
Merry Christmas.

Danny,
I sincerely sympathize with Dwayne's situation and appreciate the emotions behind this difficult situation. Don't you think that chastising Shelby severely undermines the constructive efforts that many have invested in resolving this problem?
You attract more bees with honey than vinegar and it IS well established that Shelby has enough vinegar on demand, to turn a resolution that appears to be progressing, into a dismal nightmare.
Don't let your emotions over ride your logic.
Have a Happy Holiday Season.

-Good post Dan. We do need to keep a calm head (Hey, I'm trying!). You're right, Shelby does have plenty of "vinegar" to turn this thing around. He also has enough lawyers and people in managment eager to lead him in the wrong direction (well established track record there).
Let's just keep hoping for the best.

VIPERMAN,
Many thanks for posting pics of Dwayne in better health and happier times.
It's really good to put a face on one's concerns and prayers. I sent a card I'll never know he got, but now I feel like I know him and my good wishes are "on target".
Thank you,
