Isn't this illegal or something?
I mean I have read this thread and Ted is right, the doors are going to close and if I didn't know better, right after the end of the year.
Think about it. You run a company that collects 80 or more deposits for a year and then, take the money and run. These people are NOT moral nor do they care about this guy's car.
I am sick of parasites that suck the life from decent people to survive.
Dang, now I'm really going to have to send an email or two!!

uh....Trularin -
I don't think it was Finishline who got the deposits on the 80 cars.......that was Shelby.
I know you guys wouldn't want to get your facts mixed up - after all, this is a Shelby roast and the admittance is free!

Gary, now I know what you were talking about!!
What a sad, sad state of affairs we have going on here!
This thread was started by a true "stand up guy" and my friend, Gary Morris. Gary & his wife spent the past weekend with my wife and I on a weekend outing with our SCAT club(Shelby Cobra Association of Texas), and he mentioned this thread to me. It still absolutely astounds me that this type of low-life blood sucking scum is still in bed with Shelby American!!!
I personally don't care just how GREAT a builder Roy is or how wonderful the cars he has build in the past, the bottom line is "HE IS A THIEF, AND A THIEF OF THE WORST KIND !!!". He has no morals or conscience, because he has no problems stealing both money and dreams, and will be happy to do so from a dying man!
Shelby is most likely culpable in this, and I hate to think it but this truly appears to be just another stall in an effort to allow the cancer to reach it's end in hopes the problem will go away via death.
There are lots of wonderful people here in this family, but unfortunately there are some that seem to solely exist just to use up perfectly good air. It is my belief all those that Dwayne put his faith in concerning this mythical CSX fall into the last category. It is extremely hard to believe there is any possible outcome that doesn't involve cheating quite a lot of people out of LOTS of money and then hiding behind bankruptcy. I only hope they don't cross some of the wrong people in this sorry venture just for the sake of their family that might be left behind.
It has happened for far less in Las Vegas I would imagine.
I truly wish I could see a happy ending here but I just do not.
Dwayne, my prayers are with you, and I only wish I could take you for a ride.
John Russell

Not quite that long. Course, I'm sure you only read this thread when you came here. Understandable.
Dwayne's predictiment sorta shoved him to the front of the line in terms of folk's interest here, and many sat patiently while this thread stole their thunder for pushing Shelby to start their cars.
Those 80+ plus folks that put their deposits down deserve a bit of your thanks for patiently letting you take the spotlight for a few days...but they are good folks and saw Dwayne's needs. I didn't hear one of them complain about the spotlight being on Dwayne...that's the kind of folks Cobra people are.
They are for high quality glass cars that maybe will be built in Mexico after a failed venture in South Africa. Not sure about any aluminum cars being built by Shelby at this time...Poland likes cash on the barrel head these days, and England has had enough of Texans for awhile, or so it would seem.
BTW...we have real sidepipes.
Hope it all works out for Dwayne, Danny.

Your comments sorta smacks of how you folks in Florida research issues and read the instructions on the ballot before you vote.
You're a freeking moron. Come back and post something stupid in another few months.
Happy Holidays!

Jamo
Guess he didn't like the comment about the real sidepipes.
Seriously, I re-read your post and thought that you stated your position quite clearly (and politely for a Gashole )

Shame on you, Jamo. We're reserving 'freeking moron' to Finish Line & SAI on this thread!
I did like the Happy Holidays touch. What're you putting in THAT stocking?

Good deal, Hogdealer -
If his chemo is as intense as you've indicated, I think heartfelt Christmas cards would do him as much good as seeing his car at this point.

Hi,
I'm a new Viper owner, and looking to get a Cobra in the next year or two after my wallet recovers a bit. I'm glad that the family I just adopted and the family I plan to adopt are filled with such great guys (and gals). As much as we will mourn Dwayne's passing (hopefully not for a long while), we should look to celebrating his life.
I'd like to see an annual event with both Vipers AND Cobras. Nothing beats a bunch of Vipers like a bunch of Vipers with a bunch of Cobras. For being the inspiration that brought us together, we should name it after Dwayne.
What would an event like that be like? What would it be called? Any Ideas?

Why doesn't somebody bite the bullet, and tell the Viper guys the truth about how we REALLY feel about them, before this gets totally out of hand?
What if someone sees us associating with them?
