Sunny So.Cal is where I roam, Riverside Raceway was close to home in Moreno Valley. There are 4 snake charmers here, plus 2 in Rancho Cucamonga and 1 in Riverside. We have all been waiting for winter to set in so we can put the cars on blocks and throw more money at 'em and do some winter repairs, unfortunately winter missed us and we're still out cruising. Went to Idyllwild mountains and Palm Springs this last weekend. Fun drive. I thought we were a crazy and fast bunch until we ran into 2 Harley owners out cruising with Chevy 350's pushing their rides! Imagine being able to adjust your distributor by just...well, Fords would be out of reach. These things were direct drive, no gear box, just a clutch, whew!

Brent Mills,
Please e-mail me in regards to your unknown Cobra mfgr. One of our group has the same dilema. His is similar to a Butler, with the engine set way back to the firewall, but it is not a Butler. Also has a unusual dash gauge setup including an engine clock. Gas tank filler in the trunk, not on the deck or fender. 427 body style, but a roll bar across the whole rear deck similar to a West Coast. Independant Corvette running gear, not sure on front end. Any thoughts?

I live in Folsom, CA. Where the prison is. They sort our garbage. Don't have to recycle. Beautiful spot, over here. Cheers, Matt

Los Altos, California---"Silicon Valley" about 10 miles north of San Jose and 50 miles south of San Francisco. I've already picked out the road that I'll take the Cobra on...HWY 49 up over the Sierra Nevada mountains into Lake Tahoe, then over the hill to Reno, Nevada! Now to build it!

Just outside Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Winter? What is winter? Oh well, the snow is just about all gone and the toys will be coming out soon.

Since someone is counting, I just want to add that I am the proud owner of a Johnex 427 S/C, presently a bunch of parts but I am planning on having it on the road by the spring of 2000. BTW the snow will be back in a few weeks now that it is almost November.

Regards, Wayne

I'm in Lockport, NY 20 min. NE of Buffalo. I'm building a FFR with a very strong 302. It's been a joy to build. It's got a very trick brake setup (Wilwood Racing brakes). Stop by and check it out.

San Juan Capistrano, Ca. About a dozen Cobras within 10 miles, all types including 1 Day Build Mike. 10 more in San Diego.
Many are open track cars and a dozen or so will be at Knotts April 24 and 25.
