Wanted: Cobra Lettered 289/302 Weber Intake
I am trying to hunt down a Cobra lettered Weber Intake manifold - original or Blue Thunder Reproduction. I prefer a parallel carb version vs. opposed carb version. I also need one that has dual water inlets with no thermostat housing.
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,
There was one for sale in the For Sale section about three weeks back.. don't know if it's still there or not, but here is the link to the place he picked his up from. Just follow the link for your app. 289/302.
http://www.ford-y-block.com/
There are several variations.. w/ and w/o thermostat etc...
Be ready for the price tag...
Good Luck,
Mike.

Thanks for the responses:
Al - Thanks for the offer, but I already have a set of Italian Webers and an FIA fuel log/waterneck combo as used on the '60's team cars.
I have talked to Mummerts (Ford-y-block). Unfortunately, no one has the lettered ones anymore. Blue Thunder stopped making the lettered ones a couple of years ago.
Thanks
Mike

I saw a setup on eBay that has the carbs on it. You could always buy the whole ball of wax and then sell off the spares....

If you want a Cobra lettered intake, you will be forced to look on the secondary market. They have not been available for a few years from Blue Thunder (current ones are blank). Be prepared to spend $1200 to $1800 for an original on ebay.

Inglese still lists the manifold you are looking for for $839:

I purchased an original manifold so I am all set. Unfortunately, Inglese continues to list these manifolds, but they don't have them.

Hey CP
I see you found an original but thought I'd pass along this ad I just saw on eBay anyway: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Weber...QQcmdZViewItem

Many thanks for your replay.
Yes it is very difficult for me! I’m on the waiting list from Ingles but they are talking about a delay of 6 months and on E-Bay is the issue with the NON-International bidders!
I can organize a post address in the USA to ship it, but this address is not Pay Pal verified and therefore no chance. At this way I can only hope on a seller which would accept an international bidder.
But I’m still hoping to have the Webers mounted this summer on my car and to test it at one of the vintage hill-climbing races!

And the best thing at Ingles is.
I’ve ordered and paid for the Intake (as they do pre-payment on International buyers) and can now wait 6 months or more!!

I wasn't aware of that. For $1800 I might be willing to give away mine...

As I had to buy my 48 IDA Weber's (Made in Italy) together with a Chevy Intake I'm now selling this.
Please check on e-bay for this part. #280119966663
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Weber...19966663QQrdZ1
For sale is a MacKAY Intake for Chevy small block engines.
Regards
Alfredo
