Default How many "drivable" kit/replicas have you built?

The LoneStar 427 was my first, I pretty much bought all the parts from LS and started with a 302 and a automatic. Both now are residing in a 55 Ford PU. I then rebuilt the running gear with a 427W and a T-5.

My second was Pacific Roadster built ala "street" I bought just the frame and body all the rest was hand built or ebay. Also the 393w may be the most streetable of the motors I have built so far.

You may have seen my newest project on CC the SV Coupe, so far the best body I have purchased and I have no complaints about Shell Valley or thier service. I bought pretty much just the frame and body all the rest again is aftermarket or ebay. The engine is a fully lightweight screamer 331, we will see if it will hold together at the 7.5k I have planned for it.

I am just wondering how many the rest of the CC members have built assembled or created more than one project?

I have only built one, my Johnex Cobra. However, I would really like to get a GT-40 but that may cause some marital problems.

Bought & assembled my ERA for the most part. Had them powdercoat the frame, bond the body & assemble the ERA rear end. I did pretty much everything else myself. If I ever get the time & money I would do it again.

I can't vote my catigorie is not listed. I've haven't completed my first cobra yet but then I am building my own custom chassis, suspension, ETC..... from scratch.

But that isn't the only driveable (useing that term losely) vehicle that I've created from a few good parts and a pile of steel.

There was the trailbuggy ATV 750 high powerd woods machine. sold to an airline pilot when I was done beatting on it.

Or how about everyones favorite, The Tank a snowmoblie trail grooming machine that resides in northern MN, its still way fun to play with.

Now I'm nowhere near done with the cobra, and I have three more items to work on when I'm finished (1) wifes 58 corvette replica C5 underpinnings (2) Ariel Atom copy stricly autocross toy (3) small two seat Hybrid sportcoupe, may design body and all. For the kids to drive when they get old enough.
There I'm done, still don't know how to vote. Patrick

Yes, I agree. There should be a category for those of us with prototypes.

There should be an option for those who are still planning to build or purchase already built.

I have built 5 of my own cars (all FFRs) and have worked on many other friends FFRs. My first was a 347 roadster, then a spec racer, then I sold those two to purchase my coupe which I still have; another spec car, and another roadster with one of "Bill"s" Super FE motors.
