Default heres my dads 65 427s/c

this is my dads car. he bought it in denver, colorado thouroghbred car museum. it had 500 miles on it, now it has 10, 560. all unrestored original car. it was ordered by gulf oil company. when he bought it in 72, it was registered in oklahoma to a doctor. it was then transferred to a virginia title and then to a texas title a year later, both by my dad. its chassis number is CSX 3050, one of 30 s/c cars built. the licence plate is not the one for the car, we put it on just for a car show. and thats a little sticker on the speedo that my dad put on it for the 200 mph mark, lol. and the air cleaner and the fire extinguisher the only things that is not original on the car. heres some more pictures of it!

Very nice!
I didn't know that the original side pipes were bolted on to the headers.
I'd like to see some more photo's too.

that is so cool, seeing it in a "normal" garage is like seeing a mermaid in the fishtank at walmart.

thanks for the pictures, your dad's a lucky guy.

Ack! The elusive orignal orange S/C..... me/*dies*

You have GOT to get us some more detailed pics . You should get with Ron (computerworks) here on the forum, I am sure he'd love to come see the car in person for some one on one digital photos.

The car does look to have had some minor changes to it, but overall looks like a very original car. That car just may have taken a spot in current history for the new holy grail of unmolested S/Cs.

Oh, and welcome to the site!!

If you see another car approaching Yield!

[yawn]...Another 7 figure barn find.

A pretty amazing, largely unmolested original. Reminds me of a great song..."Down in his barn, my Uncle preserved for me an old machine for fifty odd years...".

Play your cards right and your "Dad's car" could become yours someday. Enjoy!

Default Unmolested?

What an incredible find! As for the unmolested part, I can not imagine being more molested than having indoor-ourdoor carpet in a car.

If you replace it, all of us on this site will promise not to call the car restored and we will all swear the carpet was original.

As all are saying, would love to see more pictures. Congratulations on a great car.

Thanks for sharing this treasure - it is a great glimpse into the past.
My one and only son has dibs on my Cobra (it's only a replicar) sometime
in the distant future - like when I can no longer drive it.
