Default Divorce who gets the cars

It is sure tuff there in a number of US states.

I have just finished watching a US program called "Celebrity Divorces".

I was surprised to see that you are not rid of your partner after the divorce in some states. I think it was California where you keep paying the ex wife for as long as you have an income.

Mmm income spliting with the new partner would be a good idea..

Well it was no surprise to see that Michael Jordan looks to be the highest divorce settlement of all time..... estimated at $160m.

The straw that broke Michaels' wife Juanita's back - seeing her file for divorce.? It was Michael signing up with the Wizards to go playing basketball - out of retirement. You would think that she was happy he was out earning again..

Well, Donald Trump with his 'pre nup' seemed to get off lightly when he split with Marla. So did Ted Turner when he split with Jane F....

But in all of these divorces..'who gets to keep the cars'....

Have you kept yours. Did you put a true value on it......maybe that shouldn't be answered..

Now I'm not looking for advice..

It's simple over here. Just a divorce and some child maintenance until they start work... And we hide the cars in someone's garage..

Been thru the divorce thing 34 years ago...First wife was a good housekeeper: she kept the house, the kids, and the cars. If I had to do it over again, I would borrow 3 times what it cost me to get rid of her. Married to the greatest women ever for 31 years...if we split up she can have it all as she has definately earned it.

Hey Bernie,
Look forward to seeing you soon, your ears should have been burning last weekend as Hersh and I were talking about ya..... all good. See ya soon Bernie.
The BIG D is never a good thing and property distribution is a nasty part of it. There are a couple of bumper stickers that sum it up pretty well. They go ... If it has tlts or tires it is going to be trouble !!! or Huricanes are like an X-wife cause sooner or latter one of them is going to take your house. It takes two to tango I guess.

Everyone knows that divorce is always an equal split. SHE gets the MINE while HE gets the SHAFT.

The 2 times I have been thru it I kept the house and the main vehicles were split cause I had to work and she also had a job, but my hot rod had no value since it was unfinished, that is something to ponder.
The real secret is to have the best lawyer and you do better in the final decision on who gets what.

Haven't been through the divorce thing myself - I found a keeper first time out of the gate, going on 24 years now. I have many friends who have gone through it, and all seem to have one thing in common - as a general rule, SHE gets whatever the hell she wants!

Married 27 years. Seen others, but it seems to be how good your lawyer is.

He screwed around- she got all of his toys.
Judge ordered GT350R sold even though he offered twice it's value.

Cheerleader has made it assolutely clear to me on several occasions...death (mine) is a reasonable alternative to divorce.

Jamo;

Is your wife Cajun by any chance????????????

Must be related to my wife somewhere down the line!!!!!!!!!!

My lovely wifey of almost 30 years has told me since day one, there will be NO divorce, she will not let me have half or any other small amount if I was to be caught cheating on her,she plans to have it all and promises they will likely NEVER find whats left of my body...............

I'm glad I never had any inclinations of running around.... she just might keep her promise to me..........

David

I bought my Corvette in 1975 (it's a 1960), got married in 1986 and got divorced in 1994. The bottom line was, unless I could prove that all the maintanance items, insurance and gas came from my own personal account, it's considered community property because of "co-mingling" of funds. In the end, I kept the cars, house and everything else. All that F***ing B**ch wanted was the money. I'm now married to an angel who insisted that I build a Cobra and says she will divorce me if I ever sold the Corvette. I guess you have to go through Hell to recognize Heaven. Damn I hate lawyers.

What's the difference between a catfish and an attorney???

One is a scum sucking bottom feeder, the other is a fish.

I'm shocked Bernie. I figured down under you would just take a walk about and let some big reptile eat her.

HMM Maybe that is why so many skillets around here seem to fit the back of my head! LOL, Just kidding

Yea if we ever get seperated my wife could have everything. I really don't want to make her angry. I don't think she would "kill" me but she does have four brothers.... LOL, I guess it is a good thing we get along real well.

I think the most expensive divorce in history was jack welch former ceo of GE
He's the guy that turned the company around. screwing around with his hairdresser(he's bald) I think cost him about 750 million if not more
So to answer the question is screw the car you could buy the whole damn company

The first time I got the house and the car, she got the kid and child support. I was #2 for her, she's now on #7 or 8, lost count. I got the kid back when he was 6 and stopped all support to her. Married 2 1/2 years. The second time I got the apartment, the car, and the motorcycle, she got the dog. She's on #3 now, I think. Married just under a year (she was 17, I was 25). Third times the charm, June 30th will be 28 years she's put up with me. Hope she continues to put up with me cause she's a KEEPER.

Unhappy I think she knows!

I'd only had my Cobra for about a week, when one evening after dinner, I wandered out to the garage to spend a little quality quiet time with my car, while my wife watches the latest episode of American Survivor or what ever on TV.

After about 20 min. my dear sweet wife of 30+ years comes out and sits in the car. She looks around the car and says:
"This is a beautiful car, If I ever catch you ****ing around, I will own this and my attorney will be driving it!" and walks out!

I think she knows!

Bernie,
See what you started !
After 39 yrs of marriage to the same gal I feel as though I won the
lottery when she said yes. I don't have a clue as to what the secret is but
her being my best friend could have something to do with it.
If the worst happens to a marriage and her lawyer beats yours then maybe
you shouldn't have told him the laywer joke until after the hearing.

This is one area the French got right. When I married my wife, in France, She told me I expect you to have an affair, That threw me way off balance. To date no affairs and still married, 31 this year, first time.

I guess i have been blessed, lucky, you name it, but we'll be celebrating
our 32nd in August - the time sure do fly. I have to agree with Hersh on
the best friend part too, I'm sure that makes a difference. I was only 32
when I did the deed - and she didn't b**** about my skydiving so she was
a keeper. She likes the Cobra (but not the sidepipes, only got bit once),
and loves the 5 speed Miata zoom zoom I got her so life is good.

Wow,

I guess I got my cobra pretty young 35. And I have been married now nearly 11 years to a great Gal. She basically said that she would support my cobra purchase if I sold My Harley. Well the next day I put a for sale sign on it and Went cobra shopping. It was the best thing I ever did. NOW the whole family loves the car and we all go to local car cruises with it.

I gues I lucked out with the women. The secret?? Make them have an orgasism first
