I sure hope they got the point by now, they are probably so embarrassed that they wont be seen in public ever again, and what a bunch of jerks don't they know that Backdraft is the best replica made it has a fat rear end and it is an original made in Africa.. south that is...

Question Bad driving......huh

To you two guys picking on Bills driving, I had a chance to give a quick refresher driving lesson to Bill a year or two ago at Lime Rock Park. Bill had his 95 R model Mustang out for the first time and I have to tell you the "kid" impressed me with his car handling skills. I don't recall you guys at the track so I have no idea if you can drive so I would not to be one dissing Bills driving abilities.
I know I have busted his chops many times calling him Trader Bill because of his ability to quickly unload his toys but I do respect his driving.

BTW Bill screw those waxer/posers you ran into.

No one is picking on Bill's driving abilities, just picking on Bill generally. Pay attention

Well....
I don't post on this forum much, and I guess I know why now.
Funny that the topic was about 3 A$$holes, and then many more than that of you wound up being just as bad. I mean just the fact that the car in question was real one simply implys that all replicas are of an inferior nature to that car? Who says? Fine the car is an original. But all bow down to the Cobra God? Get real. It's just a damn car. Is that really worth getting all fired up over? If so we all need to get a reality check. Seriously. Because I owned an original Indian Motorcycle, all others are crap? Knock, knock anybody home? The comments made about whatever brand car was in the first post, simply showed the mindsets you all have about your own cars. Check writers, builders, FFR owners, Kool Aid...geesh you all must be the perfect human specimens or something. I mean I know that if I showed up in my FFR, (which I bought with my own hard earned money) at a gathering of your Uniques, or the "Highly superior African Backdrafts", I'd be the most welcome thing since Pamela Anderson's boob job? Yeah! Right! I'd be spit on so many times, I'd be thinking I just ran through a Nickelodeon show. BTW at the London cobra Show I parked next one of your Superior Backdrafts, when I said Hi to the driver and I started to walk over to look at his car he looked down the street and walked away. At eh Quaker Steak and Lube I parked next to the Hurrican tent. It was the only spot left. I was told by someone there that I had to move my car away from his area. I did back my car up. But not far as there were several bikes behind me. So I got dissed by two makes at one show! Did I make a big post out of it here on Club Cobra? NO. Goes to show you who has class, and who doesn't.

But here is to Bill. After seeing you posting all the time in the FFRcobra site, I'm surprised to see your post written as it was. Quotes by the drivers or not. The post makes it seem that, I, as an FFR owner am some kind of Dickhead, and that I should be embarrased for owning one, as I am really not a knowledgable, or respectful car owner. Not the case. Anyway. I'd aplogize for the actions of those FFR owners. They indeed acted in a disrespectful manner. Plain and simple. They should have known better, and I would be the first to out them for you. But, then again so did quite a few of the members here. And that cannot be denied. Go back and read the posts. You should be quite proud of your hypocritical selves. There are some posting here that need to have a proctologist take a good look up their a$$es as something really big is stuck up there. Like their heads.
Well, to me, this thread did all it was supposed to. Become a rant on FFR owners as a group. So I'll round up my wagon and just say in summary....Stay out of the sandbox if you can't play like good little children.

Uh, yeah, that pretty well sums it up. Truer words were never spoken.

And the nature of some of the previous nine pages weren't?
Condescending is as condescending does.

And most of todays replicas will run rings around an original. Don't get me wrong I have great respect for the originals. But if I could afford one, I certainly wouldn't go around taking shots at anyone elses cars.

Last chance, guys.
Don't cross the line and start infighting.

We're one click away from closing the thread.

CC,

If it had been a pack of SPF owners and not FFR owners would you still feel the way that you do? Did you see one post I made in this thread where I called all FFR owners bad people, or the FFR cobra (which again I have owned and operated more than my fair share) as inferior? I think not. Please do not allow one or two people with ego problems to cloud your judgement on all cobra owners, I certainly do not. On the flip side, I can show you countless threads on ffcobra where the same type of attitude you find disgusting is allowed to florish unabated and uncontested by any members. If you want to put anyone down, start within your own circle of friends and work your way out from there. This has not and should not turn into an us vs them type of thread. At least not a brand vs another brand, but instead an us (cobra enthusiasts), vs those with a closed blinded mind based on "brand loyalty".

Ron, you do what you feel you have to, personally I'd like to see this thread left open to get everyone opinions, both good and bad, just as long as it does not get personal.........

Sincerely,

Bill S.

It's already there...at many levels.
...and I am not going to see it foster bad blood at any level.

You should take up your issues with Cory offline.

You really want to be angry at someone, be angry at that particular group of eastern central PA residents who felt a need to stroke their own egos in such a foul manner. Do not be angry at me for quoting what they themselves stated. Perhaps I should have added all of the quotes in, but believe me, I left out some truly ignorant statements and observations from these fellow "enthusiasts" before I posted anything here.

.
I don't think the issue was that they were FFR owners as much as where they were from. They couldn't have been from PA, as I don't know anybody like that from PA. From what was said, I would have to say they were "Native New Yorkers", meet those people all the time, and the next on the list are the ones from MA and CA.

Sadly, all four cars had PA plates and dual inspection stickers for the easten portion of the state. On this I am 100% certain. I am also certain I had never met any of them before this encounter, and I've been to more than my fair share of cruises, shows, and racing events that I thought I knew most of the Cobra owners in our general area.

Bill, I certainly would have been disgusted if it were SPFs that rolled up on you. I was very close to buying one myself. But somehow I doubt it would have been posted as such here. I have to point out though that my little circle of friends used to be your little circle of friends as well. If you remeber I was at the bar, drinking with you, when you came up to the Boston area way back when.
But I had to vent and I did. With that off my chest...yes I agree we should try to bury the us vs them mentality that seems to be fairly prevelant today.
I'll do my part. Hopefully everyone that has read this thread will do the same and we can move forward instead of rearward. Besides it is tough to turn around when I am strapped in.

This forum, like the human body, needs at least one functioning asshole at all times. This is not to be viewed as a burden, but as a required part performing a necessary function. Welome the asshole, even as a guest, embrace it. Use it as God intended. Witness the misplaced priorities and rejoice.
We have had assholes on this forum before and we still count assholes and backup assholes in our midst. We also have the wrong kind of pussies.
I had hoped to get the other side of the story, for balance, from one of the 3 goodwill ambasadors but fear they will never get a chance to defend themselves. What kind of rest area was it where this occured ? I just watched "Something about Mary" and the rest stop scene being raided by the police reminded me of this episode. The guys caught in the act were not friendly to the Police who interupted the Gala affair.

CC,

You bet I would have posted it just as I did from the start regardless of whether it was a pack of SPF or CSX4000 series owners. As it was not who's kit it was, but how the owners of those cars behaved that got me to make my initial post on another cobra site first My circle of friends is still my circle of friends as I do not discriminate in any way shape or form when it comes to Cobras, real or replica. I'm just a car guy who likes them all, the good and bad builds, the turn key cars, the scratch built cars, and everything in between. As for drinking at a bar in Boston, I have no recollection of such an event As I sent to you in the offline email (you did get that before respondin here right), here is wishing you and yours well.

Sincerely,

Bill S.

Bill......bet you wished you'd never listened to the person who egged you on re-posting your story in another place.

What an amazing urinating contest this has been. Like Johan, I do see a certain amusement value, however.....this contest, not so much the story, per se.

Yes, I think if you are a dickhead, having a Cobra won't change that.
And if you are a good guy, whether you have an Arntz, Butler, Force Five or a CSX or even a Kirkham
will be the last thing people remember about you.
