SAAC-33 (2008) location announced...
Just got back from Utah and a great weekend at SAAC-32... more about the event on another thread.
But...the location for next year's National Convention was announced Saturday evening...and it will be back on the East Coast.
SAAC-33 is scheduled to be the first major event held at the NJ Motorsports Park, now called Thunderbolt.
According to their website, they are due to be completed in June 2008...the SAAC event is traditionally early July.
In case of unforeseen circumstances...like they ain't done yet....
...the fallback location will be VIR.

Not to worry Ron, Jimmy Hoffa never made it past the Pine Barrens . The folks behind the new track will do what they have to do to get it done on time.

We may never see an event at Lime Rock again, sadly.
Size of the attendance, availability of hotels, and isn't there a stricter Sunday noise ordinance in place there now?

The last time that SAAC was at Lime Rock, they utilized an available "non muffler" weekend. That weekend is now used for the LeMans pro race. I'm also given to understand that LRP has raised its fees substantially as well.
You may also recall that the SAAC hotels were over in Southbury (or was it Southington) some distance away.
