I hope they can keep this car at this price. How bad is the carbon fiber print through-I would think a polyester primer could solve this. Very nice cars-I went up to 31,000 on the ebay auction and should of kept going!

Thanks, Jamo. Kudos go to Roger Bolick who will be an advertiser on the forum in the not so distant future, I'm sure. He almost has his website up but is being cautious with many things. He is an electrical engineer and computer whiz and very structured. The price will be going up in the furure, no doubt, but will be comparable with the SPF and a lot cheaper than the Kirkham.

Default Nice Guy / Nice Car

I ran accross him somewhere and we emailed back and forth. He was just not quite ready. He might of had somthing on Ebay-whatever. Car looks great.
Carbon fiber I think is easier to work on, It is considerably thinner and when messed up does not deform as much, so you just glue it back togethere with this bad boy epoxy they use to glue fenders on cars. I had a flat on my Lamborghini and it screwed up my right rear fender compared to hitting a telephone pole in my Butler a few years ago. Carbon Fiber is easier.

I wonder if you used a "epoxy primer", if it would cover the "see through" ?

Does the dash seem to be arched more than CSX, or is it the photo ?

It does show through under certain lighting conditions. But so does the Ferrari and the other F-1 cars, I'm told. To add the materials to cover these very minor images would be counter-productive and add weight. The car is a recreation of the original.

Roger told me he uses an epoxy primer to prepare the body.

My understanding is that the body is splashed off an original, don't know which one though.

I saw the same thing but I'm sure he's buying windshields and it seems to follow the cowl curve pretty closely.

If I am going to start a file on these pictures, I will need a better company name than NKOTB.

...got one for me?

Just saw this and now joining the "I'm dumbfounded by how nice this thing is for the price" club. Actually, I should have left the "for the price" thing out.

There is no way I'd spring for Kirkham or CSX prices with an alternative like this. If he's able to get his production numbers up, he could steal a good chunk of the high-end market, but I'm guessing if he invests in kicking production up, the prices will have to go up pretty substantially.

I think Roger is close to getting his website up but won't divulge the name yet. As soon as I hear I or he will let you know.

Ron and John,

How about CFX cars?
C = Carbon
F = Fiber
X = Cobra
Suffix starting at CFX3000 and the rest you know.......

I am interested in this car. Not sure the price is staying at 35K from my discussions with Roger. Hard to pin down on cost with him, for me that detail is important since I am single income wife and kids....everyone knows that drill.

If I were a betting man I would say Roger will keep a limited production # of cars a year <20. This will make them desirebale and keep quality? My take on it anyway, like an opinion of course.

Jeff
