New to the Cobra Club
Hey,
I just joined and Im freaking amazed to the amount of information out here on my all time favorite vehicle, the Ford Cobra. I am purchasing a kit in the next several months and I have narrowed my choice down to Shell Valley or Hurricane. I have both assembly manuals and have been reading them religiously. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments on either kit? I look forward to contributing to the cause and getting my hands dirty. Thanks for any input.
Eric from Arizona

Welcome aboard cap'n. You will not find a better reference source and a more helpful group then this site. What's really great is that the resources are literally world wide. If someone doesn't have a useful tip they look for some one who does to help. Good luck!

Hello Capt.
You can use the search function to research the two kits you mentioned, a lot of info in the archives.

Welcome Eric to the club. Always nice to have new people join and get to watch their builds as they progress. And you have certainly came to the right place if you have any questions about your car along the way. Someone here will be able to answer anything you ask about. Enjoy and have fun.

welcome aboard man..sounds like you and I are in the same boat..although I have narrowed my choice down with SV, I have spoke with Bob through emails and phone and like what I hear and the Cobra he builds will fit my budget(unfortunatly I have budget on this build) and I believe I will be very happy with them..I have about 9 months till I can take delievery though so some things can change...Im sure you will enjoy the readings here as I have the past few months...let us know how it works out!

Thanks for the warm reception. I have looked at SV and Hurricane and I m impressed with both kits. I had the opportunity to meet a Hurricane owner, Bill Bess in Lake Havasu and he swayed me over with the Hurricane. I plan to order my kit at the end of the month. I look forward to contributing and getting help when I get stuck. Thanks everyone.

I looked at both, sat in both, drove both and talked to others that have actually built both. For me, it was not a hard decision to make at all. I bought the Hurricane and haven't regretted it for a single moment.
