The new one is THAT fast either. It might have 300hp but it is a brick!

But the Saturn is so damn ugly, especially the butt. I like the Pontiac better.

Saturn Sky RedLine!! Best bang for the buck in the market today. A real attention getter, too, not many on the road yet.
I have a base Sky & just love it, handles like its on rails!! See mine in my gallery.
If I could only get the Cobra to handle like that does.

I tried to buy one for my wife... The dealer wanted 5K over sticker!!! So I went and bought her a SLK32 with 12K miles on it and put the change in my pocket.... 3 months later, I get the call to come get my car at sticker... too late!
It's a shame that they run off so many people with that stratergy... I feel sorry for those who paid the 5K over on the base cars....

I paid sticker ( & no more) for mine. Keep in mind, not all dealers are doing this, only the seedy ones. I'am a member of the Sky Roadster forum & heard all the stories about dealers trying to do just that but not getting away with it.
If you want to order one, you will be locked in at the sticker price once you place you're order. That way, the dealer can't tack on other 5K upon delivery. I know, been there, done that.
Ordered mine 3/30/06 & locked in at the sticker price, it was delivered to me 9/27/06 at that locked in price even though there was a price increase increase during the production of my car.
One of the best cars I ever bought & would buy another one.
Maybe you should have went back & got it. They're awesome, fun little cars.

I could understand why they would ask that when the redline was in production... people were paying it. I know people who were on the waiting list for 4-5 months for their redline Sky. There is only one thing I dislike about the sky... the chrome fog light housing! I would pull the housing apart and paint the inside black. that is my only problem with the sky. IMO, the solstice is just to Bubbly for me. I liek the crisp lines of the sky better.
I like the projectors on this car though

I like the hard top of the SLK and the 349hp doesn't hurt iether... I figured I will pick up a Redline at the auction once supply meets demand. I do like the shape and the wifey does too...

I am still trying to figure out why Ford dropped the T-bird. It was a nice car except it was under-powered and over-priced. All they had to do was put the Mustang 4.6L engine in it, boosting the power while cutting the cost which would have allowed them to reduce the selling price. Now there are a bunch of other cars all in that same market segment.
I have rented a couple of new Mustang GT's. I think that they are good cars. One was a convertible and it was very quite, even with the top down.
