Rent enclosed trailer from houston to SC?
Hello,
I am purchasing a BDR in South Carolina, I know I can have it shipped but I was wondering if anyone knows where I can rent an enclosed trailer for 4 days to pick the cobra up and bring it back to houston. I have a truck. If someone has a personnel one I would be glad to rent. Needless to say i want the smallest trailer to get the job done. If any damage occurs to the trailer I would give cash equivalent to the cost of a new trailer to the trailer owner.
Thanks

Wow that is a monster and I appreciate the offer. We should be finalizing the deal early next week. That would be a load!!! Hopefully I can find something a little smaller, I have a 1500 series pickup and that would max it capacity with the car.
Shipping is not to bad at $1100, when I factor gas, hotel, etc, at most I save $500 but I do get to see the car before the deal is finalized.

Just let me know if you need it. I used it last weekend to take my Lone Star back to Ft. Worth for inspection and Titling. I completed it in exactly 4 months and Lone Star does all the paperwork as part of the buy if you want them to, you just pay taxes. I am using James Yale's painter to paint it.
The trailer is a load, I have a Chevy Avalanche and it was all it had to pull it loaded. Call Roy B. Texas Red Cobra he has a smaller one and maybe he would rent it.
I will trade my 2006 28' enclosed trailer for a smaller one if you hear of anyone who needs a bigger one to haul everything including the kitchen sink.

Understand this if you understand anything. YOU DO NOT PAY TAXES WHEN YOU TITLE AN ASSEMBLED VEHICLE IN TEXAS THE FIRST TIME. YOU PAY ZERO TAXES!!!!. Some people do and they are giving money away!!!!They assume you paid taxes or shipping to construct the vehicle, it is the law, if they try to charge you taxes walk away and get a copy of the tax code!!!! If lonestar is charging you taxes it is for their business not the state of Texas.
Thanks again on the trailer. Trust me on the taxes or don't read the law.

PS it is a joke to register an assembled vehicle in Texas, make damn sure under comments they write "replica 1965 Ford", Yes that is also the law, it is not a choice, opinion or favor it is the law that must be written, if it is left blank your title is not complete and you will have to send back to Austin so they can correct the mistake they made at the courthouse when you titled it. If someone reads this and has paid taxes, read the law and get a refund.

not my business, but I just saw that ENTDOC has an enclosed trailer FOR SALE in SOUTH CAROLINA, so.... you could drive the p/u out there, look over and BUY the Cobra, have Chuck (ENTDOC) sell to you and DELIVER the trailer wherever the Cobra is, show you how to load it up, and then you DRIVE truck, trailer, and new baby home.
See??? Wasn't that EASY???
It's only 20'. Perfect; not too long, so easily pullable by a 1500, it's enclosed, been stored under cover, and looks like a very very good price to me. ($3500) I think it said.
So. The logistics expert that I am I think I just solved all your problems.
I'll take 20% finder's fee.
good luck!

(PS. Chuck, I'll take 20% seller's fee, too! ![Stick Out Tongue](http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif) )
pss. you're gonna need a trailer to haul that baby to Tulsa, anyway. I think the tough Houston group drives their Cobras to Austin!!!!
