www.langka.com. I use it to refill the H pattern in my Hurst gear shift knob.

Depending on the size of the chip, I normally clean it, then start filling it in with touch up paint one layer at a time until it is flush. I always let each layer dry before applying another one and then put on one more that is just a little high and polish it down even. If it is small, I use a small brush or for even smaller ones a toothpick cut in half.

Anyone ever try a high end (i.e. Mercedes, Corvette, BMW) paintless dent repair service? Seems like it would have to be a step above a hack (me ) messing around with touch up paint.

I've never gotten good results. The best method I've found was with a "magic marker" type applicator.

I also use a toothpick to fix the small ones. If it is a little larger, I rub the toothpick around on the cement a bit to make the tip bigger. Like mentioned above, you can also get a small paint brush at a craft store. I tried the brush that comes with touch up paint on my wife Escalade, and it looks like sh#t. If I didn't touch the front of my black car up, it would look like white chicken pox.

Well Ron61 described the exact steps my painter does to fix chips. With a 2 part he goes just aboce finish with last application then when dry sands and applies clear coat to give the dull 2 stage paint a closer color and seal the repair.
PS Touch up brushes in the toothpick size are available from paint store in 10 packs.

That would be a really neat trick to pull off on a fiberglass body !

Try using a woman's lipstick brush or for even finer jobs an eyeliner brush-- (but I'd suggest not using hers)..
