And what did YOU do today?
I was able to help my friend Lynn today. First, we checked the valve adjustment on CSX 2259, and then we pulled the seats out, took out the shifter and trans tunnel and the "bulkhead" behind the seats, and removed the fuel cell to replace the foam in it. I now have grease from an original Cobra under my fingernails.
And then we went to lunch.

It was a rocker arm that the push rod started to push through, with cracks on other rockers. He's rebuilding the heads, and hopes the rockers were anomalies in their weakness.

And what did YOU do today?
I went for a ride, and then spent 4 hours cleaning it ... car show on Saturday, and Carroll Shelby will be there.

Cleaned and installed the passenger side, side pipe. Started her up and let her run for about twenty minutes.
Then we all bailed to the basement as four tornados were sighted in our area.
Just got things under control.

Today? Absolutely nothing except eating, reading the newspaper and watching TV. The heat index outside is 107°F right now!

Drove up the Angeles Crest Highway in the Cobra to have lunch at Newcomb Ranch - a picture postcard day to drive in the mountains. And we stayed there for 4 long hours. The Crest Highway is a well known death trap for motocycle maniacs & one had an unfortunate meeting with the front of a fire truck, an obvious fatality that closed down the 2 for four hours. My wife commented on two guys in full red leathers screaming down the mountain as we motored up to the ranch.
By all eyewitness accounts - the victim and his companion fit the description. We saw the truck on the way down. It looked like a car had collided with it.
If driving a Cobra recklessly is suicide - these bikers are on a different planet.

Well... lets see. I woke up around 6:45 for work. Walked the 100ft from my small connex called my room to work. Sat at work for 12 hours playing Tiger Woods 2008 and Soldier of Fortune. Went to lunch and dinner during that time and froze! It's about 130 degees outside but our office must be maintained at or below 68 so it's usually around 65. Went back to my connex, climbed in bed and watched a burned copy (DVD quality) of Bourne ultimatum. Called my wife, and went to bed! Busy day! haha
