Well, the theme song for my cobra will likely be "Five against the world"-Story of the year. it's the song that will come to mind when I look at the car. But when driving the car, definitely "Our time is now"- story of the year

other songs on the list... all by story of the year (they're my fav band)
Until the day I die
Take me back
and a slower song...
the untitled track on the album "In the wake of determination"

My favorite song of all time is Trampled Under Foot by Led Zeppelin...

"Ooh, trouble-free transmission, helps your oils flow
Mama, let me pump your gas, mama, let me do it all"

Kristen,

I'm happy to have played a small role in helping you become such a vital contributor to this forum. I don't have much time for my cars these days--they mostly sit gathering dust while I travel for work/spend my free time reminding my kids they have a father--but I have many fond memories of TCC events in years past.

As for driving music, I've never had a Cobra with a stereo--never felt the need--but "Wheels of Steel" by Saxon is hard to beat when you're out looking for trouble.

Breakin' the Law, Judas Priest.

Been my favorite since I've been riding my dirt bike on the roads as a kid.

Surprised nobody has said this one,

Red Barchetta by Rush

My uncle has a country place, that no one knows about
He says it used to be a farm, before the motor law
And on Sundays I elude the eyes and hop the turbine freight
To far outside the wire, where my white-haired uncle waits.

Jump to the ground
As the turbo slows to cross the borderline
Run like the wind,
As excitement shivers up and down my spine
Down in his barn
My uncle preserved for me, an old machine ---
For fifty-odd years
To keep it as new has been his dearest dream

I strip away the old debris, that hides a shining car
A brilliant Red Barchetta, from a better, vanished time
I fire up the willing engine, responding with a roar
Tires spitting gravel, I commit my weekly crime...

Wind in my hair ---
Shifting and drifting ---
Mechanical music ---
Adrenalin surge ---

Well-weathered leather
Hot metal and oil
The scented country air
Sunlight on chrome
The blur of the landscape
Every nerve aware

Suddenly, ahead of me, across the mountainside
A gleaming alloy air-car shoots towards me, two lanes wide
I spin around with shrieking tires, to run the deadly race
Go screaming through the valley as another joins the chase

Drive like the wind
Straining the limits of machine and man
Laughing out loud
With fear and hope, Ive got a desperate plan

At the one-lane bridge
I leave the giants stranded
At the riverside
Race back to the farm
To dream with my uncle
At the fireside...

If you don't play air guitar or steering wheel drums to this one, you don't know what you're missing!
