It is with deep sadness that I have to inform all of you, and the car world in general, have lost a special member of the community.
Steve Prewitt passed away , September 13th at 11:30 AM.
He died peacefully surrounded by family and friends.
Here he is on the right side of his Beautiful Shelby Cobra Original CSX3010 letting a couple sit in the Passenger seat, he was the kindest person I have ever met, he will be missed.

I had the privilege to know Steve for a few years and I will say he was truly a great guy! I really cannot believe this. I worked on vintage race cars that competed against Steve and his gang. I will always remember the battles between him and Gene Felton in his Big Block Corvette! We always had a tough time trying to beat him and sometimes just catching him! Steve was so tall, I think his seat was moved almost to the rear end in the Corvette. He was a gentle giant that would stop and give anytime or anything to help. My thoughts are with his family! Matt.

The good do indeed seem to go before their time.

Sincere condolences to his family and many friends.

Sounds like a man I would have like to have known. God bless his family and friends during this transition.
