Default Cobra collision-Repair shop in North East Ohio

Hello All

I am looking for some recomendations for a collision repair shop in North East Ohio. I was involved in a collision in my Cobra a few weeks back...not my fault as the other guy was cited.

With a recomendation from my factory (A&C) I shipped the car up to a collison shop in Batavia, NY who also builds this car and does some really good work

The insurance company wants to do a 3/4 cowl cut taking off the front end and re-glassing in a new one. I want a new body as that is how the car came from the factory as one piece. The collision shop quoted on both projects at a shop rate in the 60's an hour. The insurance company wants to only pay the going shop rate of 42 or 44.00 an hour.

The insurance company is Ok with the time estimates just not the labor rate.....and this job is mostly labor.

The insurance company wants to "recomend" some shops in the Rochester area...My feeling is if I have to deal with complete starngers I should bring the car back home and deal with a local shop.

so if anyone can recomend a shop in Ohio...and how to deal with these adjusters, I don't want to lawyer up and make it that much more complicated, but they make it hard not to.

thanks

John
