Anybody collect diecast cars? Anyone have this cobra?
I have been collecting die cast cars for years. I've got a huge collection of muctangs, some exotics, a couple cobras, and yes.. a couple chevys! haha does anyone have this one or have seen it? It modeled after the super snake! I like it and will probably have to add it to my christmas list!

Fsstnotch,
It is a Shelby corporation die cast and for the price it’s not bad. The color is chrome blue and when looking at it most people see purple as the color but it has the large hood scoop and duel Paxton superchargers as did the SuperSnake.

There is also a large-scale radio-controlled model of the Super Snake out there. Just in case anyone feels the need to have one of each.

I just got this 1/18 scale 289 FIA from Exoto Tifosi. It wasn't cheap.. but what Cobra ever is!
And just like the full size model.. ya get what ya pay for. The quality on this thing is amazing.....

I have both, the 1/12th scale R/C Super Snake and the 1/18th from Shelby Corp. Much more detail on the 1/18th diecast but the R/C sure is fun. Both are a pretty good deal for the money. The sidepipes on the 1/18th were mounted at a bad angle but I was able to fix that. All the extra gauges, auto trans and dual paxtons from the actual car are recreated pretty well on the 1/18th version. I still can't believe the real car went for 5.5 mil.

That Super Snake is really cool! It just needs a Bill Cosby doll with a terrified expression now.

I have about 400 die casts but many of them aren't quality cars. I do have a bunch from Exoto including the complete set of the Daytona Coupes plus the stainless one they gave anyone who collected the set of 6. One guy who was building a Daytona Replica to race at Thunder Hill even came over to look at the die casts so he could see just how they were made. About the only one that I don't have is the Super Snake. I have the first one with the 260 and the hand painted 260-exp-1 on the valve covers.

I have a Shelby model exactly the same as the Super Snake posted above, but it is an SC model in the same colors as my SPF. My wife got it for me with Shelby's signature on the hood.

Ya, I've seen the GMP ones. They are great and GMP has some amazing detail, but my wife would shoot me if I spent $500 on a diecast car! haha
i think my next one will be the knightrider GT500. i'm waiting to see what the real model looks like though.
